Home Network
Introduction
For this guide we will go over what a home network is. I will list some common types of networks you may find in your home, as well as some uncommon types. We will go over some terminology that you may or may not know. This guide will also describe the basic components of a network and how they relate to home networking. There will be a short discussion on the different types of internet access and there differences. I will also go over some network hardware and software, that are in most peoples homes that they never think of.You will find a table of contents under the fast facts. To the right of that in the side bar there is a glossary of all the terms discussed on this page.
To the left is the most common home network that you will find in a home. As you can see in this picture of network diagram. Lets go over the network diagram. At the top the internet is symbolized by the cloud. This connects to the DSL/Cable modem. Most people today buy a modem or get one from there ISP. This then connects to the hart of the home network the wireless router, also called a WiFi router. This is almost always purchased by the home owner. How To Troubleshoot
Spyware, Adware and Malware usually are made up the the following types of infrection: Spyware, worms, viruses, Trojans, Adware and keystroke loggers just to name a few. "Spyware" is usually used to refer to any malicious software other than viruses. The same with AntiVirus, any Spyware application you install needs to keep it's definition lists updated. Do this weekly, MINIMUM. The Steps for removing any of the above are very similar to the steps for removing a virus. Follow #Steps 1 and 2 from the section above Download and install Spybot (http://www.safer-networking.org/fr/home/index.html), it is free and is an excellent Anti-Malware application. Reboot into Safe Mode - See the Safe Mode section above Update and run Spybot, let it remove any infections it may find. When completed, reboot your PC into normal mode.

Apple TV
In 2007, Apple began selling a digital media receiver to consumers called Apple TV. The device allows for the user to play content from a variety of sources, such as the iTunes Store or from a local network, and projects the content onto a high-end output source, like an HDTV.
The first units shipped on March 21, 2007. This version of Apple TV used the Mac OS X Operating System and contained 256 MB DDR2 SDRAM memory. The original retail price was currently $299.
