Hosea Rosenberg was the winner of Top Chef New York. A two part finale determined the Top Chef winner for season five. The four contestants who made it to the first half of the finale were Carla Hall, Stefan Richter, Fabio Viviani and Hosea Rosenberg. Fabio Vivani was eliminated during the Quickfire Challenge on the February 18, 2009 episode. The remaining three contestants battle dit out during the last episode of the season on February 25, 2009.

Elimination Process
- The contestants face two challenges per episode throughout the season. The Quickfire Challenge tests the contestants basic kitchen skills. The Elimination Challenge requires the contestants to work with unusual and exotic foods or to demonstrate how they would deal with demanding clientele. The challenges demonstrate the contestants abilities in the kitchen as well as their customer service, management and teamwork abilities.Official Site: Top Chef Season 5
