Plot Summary
Stage actor Michael Dorsey (Dustin Hoffman) is struggling to find work after being branded as difficult to work with. He dresses as a woman, takes on the persona of Dorothy Michaels and lands himself a part on a popular daytime soap opera. As Dorothy Michaels gains popularity, Michael Dorsey's life becomes increasingly complicated as he begins to fall for his female co-star while being courted by her father. -
