Too Human Story
Too Human is set in a distant future where war between humanity and machines has made the Earth a cold, desolate landscape. Humanity has embraced Norse mythology and cybernetic humans are viewed as gods. These Norse gods fight to protect humanity from machines, as well as any enemies within the ranks of the gods. The player controls of Baldur, a god that sparsely uses cybernetic implants and relies on his inherent humanity instead. -

General Gameplay Tips
- The camera angle is predetermined by the game but the view distance can be altered. Press up and down on the D-Pad to alter the distance of the camera from Baldur. The Far angle helps tremendously when trying to string attacks together to build the combo meter.
- Use the sliding chain attack to quickly link hit sequences. It keeps Baldur on the move and free from the melee reach of enemies.
- Take breaks on each level to clean out the inventory and salvage unused weapons, armor, charms, runes and blueprints. Sell off any items that are unusable by your character class or alignment.
- Try to alternate types of ammo based on enemies. Laser ammo works well for long range attacks of slow enemies as the damage rate increases. Plasma ammo is low damage but splashes to surrounding enemies in a large group. Slug ammo has a high rate of fire and a decent damage output.
- The only death penalty is small damage to Baldur's current armor. Armor can be repaired in Aesir but try to switch it out on the battlefield frequently.
- Juggling an enemy boss with ranged attacks is a great way to wear down health. The boss also takes damage when hitting the ground. Be careful to avoid this maneuver in large crowds as the surrounding enemies tear Baldur apart.
- The spider bot (Press Y) can be a welcome distraction when Baldur is fighting without the help of the Wolf Squad. Set up a spider bot and allow it to attract enemy attention.
- Use battle cries (Press X) to buff yourself and a co-op teammate during battle. You will see rune symbols floating around the body when it's active. These battle cries are imperative to survive some encounters with giant groups of enemies.
- Use the Spirit of Fenrir (Click RS and LS) to send a hologram of the current weapon Baldur is holding out into a sea of enemies. It automatically seeks them out and gives Baldur a much needed break from battle to raid some red pods for health.
- When using a ranged weapon, double click RS to prioritize missiles or other explosives flying at Baldur. RS can also be used to change targets on the fly.
-
HUD
- The Head up Display (HUD) can be intimidating at first glance. The blue bar in the northwest corner is the experience bar. It also notes Baldur's current level at all times. The green bar to the left of the class icon represents total health and the red bar represents ammo left in the weapon.
- The combo meter is in the southeast corner of the HUD. The meter fills during battle to be used for the ruiner attack or group boosts. It's also advantageous to allow the combo meter to build to the maximum level. Each level provides boosts to the experience rate gain, attack power and speed. The meter is reset upon death.
- The Hit counter is to the right of the combo meter. The hit counter adds up the consecutive hits on enemies. Certain quests require the hit meter to be at a specific level to complete enemy death tasks. The efficiency notation comes into play after Baldur chooses an alignment. It affects extra damage dealt.

- Runes are bonus modifiers that can be placed into weapons, armor and charms. They are marked by different Norse symbols and ramp up in effectiveness as the game progresses. They cannot be removed from armor, weapons or charms after being locked in. Runes increase offensive, defensive, spider and battle cry abilities.
- Charms are battle related effects that Baldur can equip upon himself. In order for a charm to be active, Baldur has to insert the correct runes and complete a specific task such killing a certain number of boss characters.
- Blueprints are designs for potential weapons or armor. Blueprints increase in cost and value as the game progresses. Their color in the menu signifies how many rune slots are available. Look for blueprints of armor that match your play style. Building a set of armor without any bonus runes in the slots is a great way to completely customize Baldur's defensive capabilities.

Archetypes
- YouTube: GDC 2008: Character Classes Walkthrough (Time: 2:16)
- There are five different archetypes to choose from in Too Human. They include the Berserker, the Bio-Engineer, the Champion, the Commando and the Defender. Each has different strengths and weaknesses as well as specific class skills.
-
Berserker
- IGN: Too Human Commentary - Berserker (Time: 5:44)
- The Berserker is specifically designed for charging into battle and using close combat tactics. Berserkers dual wield swords and have the highest level of melee damage. (+40% the base rate)
- The Berserker also has a faster attack speed as well as an increased slide speed. They can also offer an increase slide distance for reaching further enemies. The downside to using a Berserker is below average health and armor proficiency. The Berserker also takes a 40% hit in ranged attack power.
- The skill-set of the Berserker is as follows:
- A Capacity for Rage: Increases the combo meter growth rate by 10% per level. The final level increases the maximum combo level.
- The Bear's Boiling Blood: Increases attack speed by 1% per level as the combo hit counter grows.
- Onslaught of Claws: Increase Fierce attack speed by 5% per level.
- Brutality: Increases the chance of channeling damage taken into bonus damage by 5% per level.
- Loki's Kiss: Uses sticky bombs to detonate enemies. Damage increases by 5% per level.
- Ankle Biter: Deploys a turret that slows enemies. Damage and snare duration increases by 5% per level.
- Sleep-Storm of Steel: Deploys a mine that explodes upon contact. Damage and radius increase by 5% per level.
- Swift of Claw: Increases the melee attack speed of the group. Speed and duration increase by 3% per level.
- Engulfing Rage: Increases movement speed and adds knock-back to all attacks in the group. Speed and duration increase by 5% per level.
- Shield Biter: Increases melee attack damage for the group. Damage and duration are increased by 6% per level.
- Unrelenting Blades: Increases dual-wield attack speed by 2% per level.
- Weapon Recovery: Increases slide attack speed by 1% per level.
- Warrior of the Twinned-Claw: Increases dual-wield weapon damage by 3% per level.
- Spirit of Fenrir: Greatly increases the combo meter by using the power of Fenrir to attack enemies. Duration increases by 4% per level.
- TIP: Choose the Berserker if looking for a melee damage dealer. Berserkers tear through enemies in single player mode, but prepare to die frequently. Combining a Berserker with a Bio-Engineer is an extremely effective co-op combo and gets rid of the downtime between battles.
-
Bio-Engineer
- IGN: Too Human Commentary - Bio-Engineer (Time: 3:34)
- The Bio-Engineer sacrifices attack ability for healing ability. The Bio-Engineer can cast group heals and has the inherent skill of regeneration. The Bio-Engineer also has the highest level of hit points over all classes.
- The disadvantage to the Bio-Engineer class is the reduced melee damage. There is a -25% hit to the base level of melee damage. There is also a -15% hit on ranged damage. The Bio-Engineer doesn't utilize armor as well as other classes either.
- The skill-set of the Bio-Engineer is as follows:
- Idunn's Touch: Increases health regeneration by 0.1% per level.
- Skuld's Embrace: Increases chance that attacks will cause enemies to attack allies by 0.5% per level.
- Warrior of the Battle-Oar: Increases 2-handed weapon damage by 2.5% per level.
- Warrior of Tyr's Way: Increases 1-handed weapon damage by 2.5% per level.
- Wrack of Lightning Mine: Deploys en EMP mine to disable machines for a short period. Damage and radius increase at 5% per level.
- Ward of the NORNs: Deploys a protective shield to absorb damage. Deployment duration increases by 3% per level.
- Gifts of Idunn: Deploys a mine that heals allies within detonation range. Healing amount increases by 5% per level.
- Idunn's Boon: Offers negative effect removal as well as a minor heals for the group. Healing power increases by 3.5% per level.
- Idunn's Favor: Offers negative effect removal as well as a large delayed heal for the group. Healing power increases by 5% per level.
- Idunn's Wish: Enhances resistances, clears negative effects and enhances offensive stats. Bonus and duration increases by 2% per level.
- Ascent to Valhalla: Increases juggle attack launch height by 2.5% per level.
- Cellular Rebonding: Increases maximum hit points by 1% per level.
- Electrified Blade: Increases the chance of lightning damage during melee attacks by 1% per level.
- Spirit of Fenrir: Greatly increases the combo meter by using the power of Fenrir to attack enemies. Duration increases by 30% per level.
- TIP: The Bio-Engineer is the toughest class to utilize in the single player mode. The low level of damage makes the Bio-Engineer a slow class to play in single player. However the Bio-Engineer is highly sought after in every single co-op group. The group heals and protection effects keep a co-op group moving quickly through every level.
-
Champion
- IGN: Too Human Gameplay - Skill Tree (Champion) (Time: 4:43)
- The Champion class is easily the most well rounded. The Champion relies on air-based attacks and uses a one-handed melee weapon. The Champion offers an excellent chance for critical strikes as well.
- The disadvantage to playing as a Champion is the lack of focus on any one skill. Players that want to focus specifically on melee, ranged, defense or healing should look elsewhere.
- The skill-set of the Champion is as follows:
- Unerring Strike: Increases chance for bonus damage during critical strikes by 0.5% per level.
- Immolating Blade: Increases chance for fire damage during melee attacks by 1% per level.
- Asgard's Fury: Increases air melee attack damage by 3% per level.
- Kinship of Gungnir: Increase pistol weapon damage by 4% per level.
- Lament for the Battle-Slain: Increase finisher move damage by 3% per level.
- Thermal Induction Mine: Deploys a mine that inflicts fire damage. Damage and radius increase by 5% per level.
- Feeder of Ravens: Deploys a concussion mine that launches enemies into the air. Launch height increases by 2.5% per level.
- Tree of Raining-Iron: Deploys a chain turret that uses rapid-fire damage. Damage increases by 5% per level.
- One Will Rise Above: Air based melee attack damage increases for the group. Damage and duration increases by 15% per level.
- Valiant's Might: All melee attacks for the group cause enemies to be juggled in the air. Duration increases by 3% per level.
- Storm of Mortal Wounds: All enemies struck by the group will be softened and exposed to critical attacks. Duration increase by 2% per level.
- Warrior of the Blood-Eel: Increase sword damage by 3% per level.
- Ascent to Valhalla: Increases juggle launch height by 2.5% per level.
- Stopping Power: Increases slug ammunition damage by 4% per level.
- Spirit of Fenrir: Greatly increases the combo meter by using the power of Fenrir to attack enemies. Duration increases by 30% per level.
- TIP: Choose the Champion class if you are new to role-playing games and don't want to mess with character building. The well rounded class offers an even balance of defense and offense for the single player mode. The Champion is less effective in co-op mode though.
-
Commando
- IGN: Too Human Gameplay - Commando (Time: 4:01)
- The Commando is an expert at ranged and explosive attacks. They offer greater accuracy, speed and damage levels for ballistic attacks and a higher ammo capacity. Champions get a +40% ranged damage boost at the base rate. Commandos also utilize the spider feature more efficiently and have a decent grasp of armor capabilities.
- The downside to using a Champion is incredibly weak melee attacks and a lower level of hit points. Melee attacks take a -40% hit in effectiveness at the base rate. Commandos are also more vulnerable to enemy melee attacks.
- The skill-set of the Commando is as follows:
- Wrecker of Mead Halls: Increases damage and radius of grenades and cannon fire by 2.5% per level.
- Pinning Shot: Increase the chance that shots temporarily root enemies by 1% per level.
- Rain of Iron: Increases slug ammunition rate of fire by 3% per level.
- Adept of the Burning Spear: Increases plasma ammunition damage by 3% per level.
- Bullet Tree: Deploys turrets capable of shooting incoming missiles. Damage and duration increases by 5% per level.
- Cluster Munitions: Deploys a cluster mine. Radius and duration increases by 5% per level.
- Tree of Shrieking-Flame: Deploys a plasma turret. Damage increases by 5% per level.
- Smoothbore: Ballistic shots from the group knock enemies back. Duration increases by 20% per level.
- Lightning Cascade: Attacks from the group include explosive damage. Damage and duration increases by 10% per level.
- Cut to the Bone: Ballistic shots from the group do additional damage. Damage and duration increases by 10% per level.
- Ballistic Telemetry Feedback: Increases the range of ballistic weapons by 2% per level.
- Delayed Fragmentation Warheads: Increases the chance that ballistic shots do explosive damage by 1% per level.
- Gift of Gungnir: Increases rifle damage by 3% per level.
- Spirit of Fenrir: Greatly increases the combo meter by using the power of Fenrir to attack enemies. Duration increases by 30% per level.
- TIP: Choose the Commando if looking for a long range support character. The multitude of swarming enemies makes the Commando a difficult character class to utilize in single player mode. The Commando truly shines in co-op mode and works extremely well when paired with a Defender.
-
Defender
- IGN: Too Human Gameplay - Defender (Time: 5:15)
- The Defender is perhaps the safest class to play. Defenders have a high level of hit points and utilize armor very well. They are immune to knock-back effects and have extra resistances to enemy melee attacks. They are also the only character class to use shields.
- The downside to using a Defender is a reduced level of ranged damage and a melee damage level only slightly higher than the Champion. They also attract all the enemies in the area due to the inherent aggro effect.
- The skill-set of the Defender is as follows:
- Defender's Resistance: Decreases the amount of damage taken by 0.5% per level.
- Enthalpy Reduction Attack: Increases the chance of inflicting ice damage by 0.5% per level.
- Grim Resolve: Increases the chance of the damage from a killing blow will be deflected by 5% per level.
- The Berserker's Grief: Increases the chance that 100% of melee damage is reflected onto the enemy by 1% per level.
- Enthalpy Reduction Mines: Deploys an ice mine that freezes enemies. Radius and duration increases by 5% per level.
- Ward of the NORNs: Deploys a protective shield to absorb damage. Deployment duration increases by 3% per level.
- Tree of Scorching Light: Deploys a laser turret. Damage increases by 3% per level.
- Fimbulwinter's Numbing Touch: Produces a group shield that freezes enemies. Duration increases by 6% per level.
- Reversal of Wyrds: Enemy status effects on the group are reflected back. Duration increases by 10% per level.
- Egil's Blessing: Taunts enemies to focus attacks on the Defender. Effectiveness increases by 10% per level.
- Adept of the Light-Spear: Increases damage with laser ammunition by 3% per level.
- Tyr's Best Work: Increases the defensive bonus of armor by 1% per level.
- Warrior of the Iron Fist: Increases hammer weapon damage by 3% per level.
- Spirit of Fenrir: Greatly increases the combo meter by using the power of Fenrir to attack enemies. Duration increases by 30% per level.
- TIP: The Defender is the tank of a co-op group. They attract all the enemy attention while the damage dealers pick off enemies. Team up a Defender with a damage dealer for an excellent combo of defense and offense. The Defender is also a solid choice for the single player mode, but the lack of offensive abilities is annoying in the latter stages of the game.
-
Cybernetics
- IGN: Too Human Gameplay - Cybernetic Path (Time: 5:51)
- The Cybernetic path offers a higher level of damage and health. It utilizes machinery to upgrade Baldur's body for regular, group and spider attacks. Defensive capabilities are also increased through a higher level of armor utilization.
- The Cybernetic skill-set is as follows:
- Augmented Musculature: Increases attack damage based on the hit counter by 1% per level.
- Enhanced Mobility Actuators: Increases slide attack damage by 1% per level.
- Retooled Munitions Dispenser: Increases ammo capacity for ranged weapons by 5% per level.
- Spreader of Ruin: Increases the radius of ruiner attacks by 1% per level.
- Terminal Ballistics Analysis: Increases accuracy of spider shots by 1% per level.
- Everflowing Source: Increases the spider's deployment time by 5% per level.
- Ballistic Telemetry Feedback: Increases the range of ballistic weapons in the group by 1% per level.
- Submunition Distributor: Increases the rate of bonus effects on attacks for the group by 0.5% per level.
- Hardened Carbotanium Chassis: Increases the amount of defense offered from armor by 1% per level.
- TIP: The Cybernetic path is a nice choice for a Commando. The extra bonuses to ranged attacks compliment the Commandos existing skill set. It's also a decent choice for the Defender to access the extra defensive capability.
-
Humanity
- IGN: Too Human Gameplay - Human Path (Time: 4:16)
- Humanity's path focuses on providing bonuses to combos. It relies on spirituality to increase damage, speed, accuracy and the growth of the combo rate.
- Humanity's skill-set is as follows:
- The Everburning Heart: Decreases the cost of combo use based on the hit counter by 2% per level.
- Hero's Heart: Increases melee attack speed by 2% per level.
- Calm Under Fire: Increases reload speed of ranged weapons by 2.5% per level.
- Desire to Overcome: Increases fierce attack range by 2% per level.
- Daring Shot: Increases the chance of spider shots ricocheting for extra damage by 1% per level.
- Spirit Renewal: Decreases spider recharge time by 5% per level.
- A Need To Survive: Increases ballistic rate of fire for the group by 2% per level.
- Call of Ruin: Increases ruiner attack damage of the group by 2% per level.
- Quick to Anger: Increases combo meter growth rate by 11% per level. It also offers an increase in the combo meter on the final level.
- TIP: Sticking with Humanity's path benefits the melee attack abilities of the Berserker and Champion. The extra combo power is excellent for the Bio-Engineer and somewhat helps the Defender.

Hall of Heroes
- YouTube: too human walkthrough part 1 (Time: 8:48)
- CUTSCENE: A flying vessel is seen moving through the rain. The shot cuts to the bridge. Lord Baldur loads into an APC and the vehicle is dropped onto the snowy landscape. The APC pulls up to an abandoned factory. A nervous rookie is worried about entering battle. The Wolf special ops team runs up the icy staircase into the main building.
- Move Baldur into the structure with LS. Note the control layout screen for help and dismiss it with A. Press LB to center the camera and move forward into the next room. Look for a door on Baldur's right.
- RS control sword movement. Use RS to bash open the red containers outside the door on the right. These red pods offer health and money when cut open. Move through the door and watch the short real-time scene of the enemy troll spying on Baldur. Baldur can typically keep moving and fighting during these scenes.
- Move across the bridge and wait for a second real-time scene. An enemy pops up on the mountain just ahead. As the fight breaks out, use melee or ranged attacks to defeat the small pack of enemies.
- TIP: Try to start building the combo meter at the first fight. The simplest way is using the sliding chain attack. When enemies are in range, move the RS in their direction. Before Baldur reaches the target, use RS to switch to another target and chain the attack sequence. Do this several times to build up the combo meter.
- Move through the door directly ahead and take a left at the statue. Bust open the red pods on the left in the next room and jump to the lower level for another fight. Focus on the goblin shooting missiles first to avoid taking a high level of damage. Use the chain attack for quick deaths.
- YouTube: too human walkthrough part 2 (Time: 8:51)
- FLASHBACK: Baldur walks into the entrance chamber of Lord Heimdall. (Move Baldur onto the moving platform.) Lord Heimdall tells Baldur that men call his hall the Cliffs of Heaven. (Move Baldur to Heimdall's desk.) Heimdall and Baldur are speaking about a machine that bit a man's head off in a local bar. Baldur demands that Heimdall send him to track down the beast.
- More goblins come pouring into the cave after the scene. Use the chain attack to build up the combo meter beyond level 2 and kill all the enemies.
- TIP: Baldur should have the first opportunity to assign skill points after this fight. Press Start and select Skills in the menu. Apply the first three points to the top skill. It's the only one available at this time.
- Crack open the nearby red pods and enter the door just ahead. Move into the room with the overhead vehicle track. Wait for the enemies to appear and move Baldur down the path. The first shielded goblin is at the end of this room.
- Allow the goblins to run toward Baldur. Slide between the enemies and kill each with rapid attacks. Beware of the missile attacks from the two goblins at the end of the path. The shielded goblin uses a laser targeting system for missile blasts as well.
- TIP: Flick RS twice towards a targeted enemy to send it flying into the air. This is an excellent move to use on shielded enemies or pesky missile launching goblins.
- NOTE: The shielded goblin likely dropped Baldur's first green armor item. Hit Start and select Equipment in the menu. Baldur probably can't use it until level four though.
- Move through the door and target the missile goblins first. Wipe out the rest of the goblins with the chain attack. Open up the red pods on the left and right sides of the room before moving upstairs.
- Baldur gets to fight his first Troll at the top of the stairs. Baldur can target each section of the troll with RS while a ranged weapon is in use. Targeting the arm with the hammer first is an excellent strategy.
- TIP: There is a method to kill the troll quickly. Target the chest armor by simply holding RT and shoot until the center portion is blown off. Move behind the troll and press A. Use LS to balance on the troll. Move LS to the right when the troll leans left and to the left when the troll leans right. When Baldur is balanced, flick RS downward to stab the troll in the head.
- YouTube: Too Human - Sub-Boss Fight #1: Skullhammer (Time: 1:43)
-
NORNs on Parade
- YouTube: too human walkthrough part 3 (Time: 9:09)
- FLASHBACK: The scene picks back up at the end of the previous flashback. Sister Freya approaches and she leads Balder out to speak with the NORNs. Freya expresses her concern for Baldur's safety and her desire for Baldur. It gets awkward and they move into the NORN pool.
- When control is regained in the flashback, explore the lush area for five black obelisks. They stick out above the vegetation. Press A to activate them and collect the armor, charms and runes. Move toward Freya when finished.
- FLASHBACK: Freya and Baldur speak to the three NORNs females. The NORNs tease Baldur for a while and offer some information on finding the beast. They give Baldur a blueprint module to access the NORNs world. They offer some cryptic information about the future and Baldur leaves.
- Move to the glowing pool and press A to access the NORN world. Access the green glowing obelisk to gain the ability to push objects in cyberspace. Move to the large gate and press RT to open it. (This affects doors in the regular world.) Grab the loot from the black obelisk and return to the real world through the pool.
- Access the obelisk directly ahead of Baldur and exit through the glowing white door on the right side of the main room. Move out onto the main bridge and use the chain attack to dispatch the goblins. Watch out for the goblin shooting missiles on the right and the shielded goblin at the end of the bridge.
- TIP: Hit RB to perform a ruiner blast. This knocks back and kills the majority of nearby enemies. Hit RB during a slide to perform a ruiner at half the power cost.
- Move into the hallway and be wary of the explosive goblins. They blow up upon impact. Use a ranged weapon or quickly slide away from the blast. Run into the next room and target the missile goblins immediately. Try to slide between the missile goblins and spread the attacks around.
- YouTube: too human walkthrough part 4 (Time: 9:02)
- Wipe out the remaining goblins with the chain attack or a well-placed ruiner. Move up the ramp and look for a small group of goblins on the right. Shoot the flame goblin to kill the pack. Access the cyberspace pool on the left.
- This section of cyberspace opens three doors in the real world. Hit RT on the platform to unlock the first door on the left. These are essentially bonus rooms. The first room contains a shielded goblin named Red Claw. Use the air launching attack (Double tap RS) to avoid taking damage and juggle him with the pistol.
- Kill the remaining goblins with the sliding chain attack and loot the obelisk for excellent rewards. Access the pool a second time to rotate the unlocking stone to the second door. This bonus room is a time-based mission. Chain together the sliding attack and kill all the enemies before time runs out. Ruiners also work well when the goblins get bunched up.
- If successful, the obelisk on the right lights up and the rewards are much greater. If unsuccessful, the obelisk on the left lights up and the rewards are mediocre. Return to the pool for a third time to rotate the stone again. The final room only contains a single obelisk and no enemies.
- YouTube: too human walkthrough part 5 (Time: 8:30)
- Return to the main room and loot the obelisk in the right corner. Battle more goblins with the slide attack. Move through the nearby lighted door and another troll wakes up. Take out the two missile goblins on the sides first and use the finishing move on the troll after his middle armor drops off.
- Activate the glowing green console on the platform to the left. It unlocks a bonus room on the right. The bonus room is a time-based mission. Use the sliding chain attack to kill all the goblins in less then 40 seconds. Loot the obelisk for some excellent gear.
- Move back out into the main room and attack the missile goblins. Go after the shielded goblin next with the double flick RS attack. Wipe out the remaining goblins with the sliding chain attack. Slash up any remaining red pods in the room for bounty and move out the door on the far end.
- Look for the blue Ice goblin that leaps from the left side. This goblin explodes and freezes Baldur in place. Use ranged attacks or slide away quickly after hitting the ice goblin. Activate the nearby cyberspace portal and press RT at the platform to open a secret door in the real world.
- YouTube: too human walkthrough part 6 (Time: 9:31)
- Help the Wolf squad dispatch of the two missile goblins and the shielded goblin in the courtyard. Move into the secret passage and follow the path to an elevator. Enter the bonus room and fight the goblin minions. There is no time limit on this room. Loot the obelisk and return to the Wolf squad.
- Move through the door and walk over the bridge. Use the sliding chain attack on the regular goblins and ranged attacks on the ice goblins. Open the door on the opposite end, but immediately back up. Fire goblins pour out of the room. Use ranged attacks to make the group of fire goblins explode.
- Move onto the large elevator and kill the goblins with the chain attack. Walk through the door and battle the missile goblins. Access the cyberspace portal on the left and push the boulder down the hill. Loot the two obelisks and move into the previously gated section for a brief narration by the NORNs. Baldur can't do anything at this section yet so return to the real world.
- YouTube: too human walkthrough part 7 (Time: 9:20)
- Enter the door in the shape of a face and fight the small group of goblins. Access either console on the platform to move the lift to the center of the room. Hop on the lift and try to avoid the missiles while riding. Baldur can shoot the missiles out of the air or simply jump around.
-
Angry Droid
- After Baldur jumps off the ride, circle the perimeter of the arena and open some of the red pods for bounty. Check the Equipment screen to see if Baldur has the latest gear and enter the arena.
- YouTube: Too Human - Boss Fight #1 - GRNDL-1 (Time: 3:35)
- The boss fight entails a battle between a large droid named GRNDL-1 and Baldur. GRNDL is a pushover for a Commando. Use ranged weapons to wear down the droid's health. GRNDL will occasionally charge but Baldur can easily dodge the attack.
- TIP: Pick up health from the remaining red pods around the perimeter of the room.
- A melee character can also take down GRNDL by understanding the timing. Slide toward GRNDL and slash him right after he swings his arms. Try to avoid GRNDL when the droid is on two legs. He likes to grab Baldur and grind his body into some blades.
- Continue keeping your distance and wearing down his health. GRNDL doesn't have a weak spot so it doesn't matter what section of the body you ultimately target. Grab the loot and wait for the level to end.
- After Baldur jumps off the ride, circle the perimeter of the arena and open some of the red pods for bounty. Check the Equipment screen to see if Baldur has the latest gear and enter the arena.
-
Aesir Part I
- CUTSCENE: Chanting is heard at the camera pans over a shot of a large city. Baldur's ship docks in the windy area. (Access the blue obelisk on the left and enter the city.) Two scanning robots tell Lord Baldur to report to the cybernetics laboratory.
- Hang a right at the intersection and enter the lab. It's marked by a needle hologram. Baldur talks to IDunn about his late wife and she convinces Baldur to choose an alignment. Choose between cybernetics or humanity.
- Hop into the chair in the center of the room if you want to repair armor or access the store. The store can be used to purchase armor, blueprints or runes. Loot the blue obelisk in the room and leave. Another scanner approaches and tells Baldur to move into the feasting hall.
- TIP: Baldur can check a map of the area by accessing one of the blue consoles or large circular white consoles.
- Move into the elevator under the hologram of the four people. Loot the two blue obelisks to the left and right. Move toward the circular map and take a right in to the feasting hall.
- YouTube: too human walkthrough part 8 (Time: 10:09)
- CUTSCENE: Heimdall stands to greet Baldur into the feasting hall. Baldur eases into a chair and Thor walks in. Thor mocks Baldur's recent battle and Freya jumps to his defense. The scene shifts to Freya trying to hold Baldur's hand and Baldur remembers his late wife Nanna. Baldur suspects that Freya is keeping something from him about Nanna. She tells him to speak to Heimdall.
- YouTube: too human walkthrough part 9 (Time: 9:20)
- Move to the end of the hall and take the elevator up to Heimdall's office. Loot the blue obelisk to the left. Hop on the lift and ride into Heimdall's main office.
- CUTSCENE: Baldur demands to know more about Nanna's death. Heimdall tells Baldur that Hod is responsible for her death. Heimdall tells him that Tyr is leading a mission into the Ice Forest to find Hod. Baldur demands to be included in the mission. Heimdall refuses so Baldur decides to go alone. Heimdall asks that Baldur destroy Hod's cybernetics if Baldur makes it through the Ice Forest.
- Before moving back to the ship, check out the hall with the World Tree. Grab the loot from the blue obelisk on the right and move in to speak with Freya briefly. Move to the opposite side of the room to loot another blue obelisk and access the well near Freya to enter cyberspace.
- Move through the main gate and hang a left. After the door opens, run down the path and loot the obelisk. Access a second well to transport to another portion of cyberspace. Loot the two obelisks along the path and open the door with RT. Follow the path to loot another obelisk and return to the well that leads back into the real world. Move back to the main elevator.
- CUTSCENE: Heimdall and Thor are seen torturing Loki. Loki mocks Thor and Heimdall orders him out of the room. Heimdall threatens Loki with the negative outcome of Loki's upcoming trial. Heimdall tosses Loki back into the prison and the scene shifts to Thor in the hall. Thor wanted to kill Loki, but Heimdall wants a trial for Loki's murder of a god.
- Check out the weapon shop in the main hall as well as the prison for a couple more blue obelisks. Return to the ship to fly to the Ice Forest.
-
Ice Forest
- CUTSCENE: The ship flies away and the scene shifts to Baldur in the Ice Forest. He gives a speech to the troops and talks about the importance of the mission. The tank approaches the drop zone and falls under heavy fire from yellow robots.
- YouTube: too human walkthrough part 10 (Time: 9:39)
- Baldur is immediately attacked by numerous goblins, both of the fire and ice variety. Try to shoot the ice goblins to freeze the entire group before slicing away. The troll requires the same strategy as the previous level. Shoot out the middle plate and hop on him by pressing A.
- Follow the barren path and kill the small group of goblins. Baldur orders the disgruntled men into the cave and dark elves are seen spying on the group. Kill the third group of goblins with the sliding chain attack and walk into the purple lift to jump across the ravine.
- Try to keep some distance between the fire goblins and Baldur. Use ranged weapons to kill them. Move quickly towards the missile goblins and use the sliding attack. Kill the shielded goblins and fend off the attacks from the goblin minions. Try to move between packs quickly and efficiently.
- TIP: Backtrack and destroy a fragile barrier to the right of where Baldur landed from the purple lift jump. Kill the goblins inside and access the well to enter cyberspace. Push open the door in cyberspace and access the obelisk to gain some goodies.
- YouTube: too human walkthrough part 11 (Time: 9:24)
- Return to the Wolf squad and raid the obelisk at the end of the path. Cross over the ramp and jump into a fight with two dark elves. Use the shielded goblin strategy on the dark elves. Launch them into the air and slash away as they get up.
- Ride on the second purple launching pad and fight off the goblins with the sliding chain attack. Follow the path and battle a variety of dark elves. Take each group slowly and don't allow Baldur to get surrounded.
- Charge forward and kill the missile goblins at the end of the path. There's also a shielded goblin nearby. Use the sliding chain attack to kill the remaining goblins. Loot the nearby obelisk and hop on the purple launch pad.
- Baldur gets to fight a spider archer. Baldur loses a good bit of health with only melee attacks but it's certainly one option. Ruiners help as well as ranged attacks. Kill the remaining goblins and proceed down the new path.
- YouTube: too human walkthrough part 12 (Time: 9:40)
- The upcoming fights are groups of goblin minions. Look for an obelisk to loot on the right side of the path. Move past the red impassable energy gate and down the ramp. Clump up the spider archer and dark elves before ripping a ruiner attack for an instant kill.
- Move along the path and kill the various types of goblins. Use ranged attacks on the upcoming fire goblins and the sliding chain attack on the remaining enemies. Launch Baldur off the next purple pad and access the pool to enter cyberspace.
- CUTSCENE: The beauty NORN approaches and starts talking about Baldur's lost memories. She cuts herself open and the scene shifts to the council chanting while Loki is changed from a human to a metal freak. The NORN offers a warning about forgetting the past and sends Baldur on his way.
- Loot the obelisk at the end of the path and use RT to push the tree. Exit cyberspace and hit the second purple pad to launch up to the next section. Take down the dark elves with the double flick RS move. Move across the bridge and kill the dark elves firing arrows.
- Walk to the left and a section of walkway rises up to another level. There is a nasty collection of enemies up here. Kill the dark elves first and focus on the spider archer second. A ruiner is perfect for this scenario. Finally kill the troll by hopping on his back and stabbing the head.
-
Death Leap
- YouTube: too human walkthrough part 13 (Time: 8:36)
- Hop on the purple launching pad and get ready for a new type of troll. This version fires small explosive grenades at Baldur. Take out the dark elves around the perimeter of the arena first. They respawn a couple times so make a few passes.
- Take out the hammer troll first. A long range rifle works well to tear apart the middle section of armor. Stab the troll in the head and focus on the second troll. Strafe around the troll and blast the grenade arm first. Loot the obelisk in the middle of the arena after the fight.
- CUTSCENE: One of the Wolf squad falls and another squad mate tries to revive him. A Valkyrie drops from the sky and takes the body away.
- Use the nearby purple pad and kill the two dark elves on the platform. They fire plasma beams at Baldur. Use the second purple pad to reach a large group of dark elves and a grenade troll. Take out the elves on the right with a ruiner and kill the troll by stabbing it in the head.
- Loot the nearby obelisk and use the lift to reach the upper level. Charge the dark elves along the path and kill them with the sliding chain attack. Use the barriers on the right and left for cover. Move to the end of the path and quickly kill the troll guarding the power generator.
- YouTube: too human walkthrough part 14 (Time: 9:10)
- Bust open the red pods for health and shoot the power generator until it explodes. Backtrack to the opposite side and tackle the dark elves. Use a ruiner to dispose of them quickly. Go after the grenade troll and watch out for the close range grenade blasts.
- Hop on the lift to move up a level. The number of enemies looks frightening but don't fret. Avoid attacking any enemies for the moment. Move Baldur around the perimeter of the arena and blast the tanks that control the structure supports. After blowing up four supports, the entire upper platform falls and crushes the entire group of enemies.
- YouTube: too human walkthrough part 15 (Time: 8:54)
- Move onto the fallen platform and loot the obelisk in the middle. Cross the bridge and kill the three dark elves that spawn. Loot the obelisk to the left and start moving around the walkway. Kill the packs of goblins along the way and save a ruiner when Baldur nears the purple jump pad.
- Battle a few dark elves and missile goblins after using the jump pad. Loot the nearby obelisk and move along the walkway to the right. Fight a large group of goblins and kill the missile goblins in the distance quickly.
- TIP: There is a secret room on the left side of the walkway. Shoot the metal enclosure about halfway down the walkway and press A to enter. Baldur faces a couple shielded goblins as well as a few dark elves. Survive to collect the new gear.
-
Ice Tunnel
- YouTube: too human walkthrough part 16 (Time: 10:10)
- Move along the glass bridge and use the sliding chain attack to annihilate the goblins minions. There is so much health tossed out that Baldur should be perfectly fine. Just keep switching targets quickly and raising Baldur's combo meter.
- Use the same tactic on the dark elves that appear along the path. Just keep leaning RS in their direction. Move into the arena at the end of the bridge and start slicing into the goblins. After clearing the area, shoot the generator in the middle of the arena to lower an energy barrier.
- YouTube: too human walkthrough part 17 (Time: 10:07)
- Move over the new section of bridge and use a ruiner to blast the giant group of goblins. Move around the walkway to the left and loot the obelisk. Blow up the power generator to the right and fight through the series of goblin groups.
- Continue down the walkway and use the jump pad. Immediately charge at the missile goblins and the dark elves. Use a ruiner attack if Baldur is low on health. Destroy the power generator on the right and charge into another group of dark elves.
- Loot the obelisk on the left and use the jump pad to reach the next section. Start chain attacking the goblins upon landing and crack open the red pods to the left for health. Move along the walkway to the right and kill the group of goblins. Loot the obelisk before moving to the dark elves.
- YouTube: too human walkthrough part 18 (Time: 10:06)
- Continue along the walkway until reaching another jump pad. Be prepared to fight fire goblins and plasma goblins upon landing. A ranged weapon is the most efficient method of killing them.
- Destroy the last power generator on the right and charge into spawn of goblins. Loot the obelisk on the right and use the jump pad to reach the next section. Charge into the dark elves and the spider archer before unleashing a ruiner attack.
- Move Baldur into the large arena and slide between goblins. Move to the middle of the arena and use the well to enter cyberspace. Loot the obelisk to the left and move through the door. Use the green glowing stone to gain a new power in cyberspace. Move to the blue glowing stone and hold LT to pull the tree toward Baldur. This action breaks down a barrier in the real world. Use the well to return.
- YouTube: too human walkthrough part 19 (Time: 9:28)
- Cross the bridge and charge into the dark elves on the right side. Use the sliding attack to pummel each elf. The Elite Dark Elf is defeated the same way. They pack a punch at a distance but are simple to kill up close.
- Backtrack slightly to raid the two obelisks and move right to find another jump pad. Fight off the dark elves and loot the nearby obelisk. There are red pods on the right if health is needed. Move to the left and charge each dark elf that appears.
- Look for a spider archer along the path as well as several more dark elves. Use ruiner attacks if at all possible. Loot the obelisk at the end of the path and use the jump pad to reach the next section.
-
Lord Hod
- YouTube: too human walkthrough part 20 (Time: 8:35)
- CUTSCENE: One of the Wolf Squad is shot in the head. Baldur screams at Hod about murdering his wife. Hod claims that he didn't kill her and sees Loki in place of Baldur. Hod claims that he killed Loki in the halls of Asgard and the scene shifts to that moment. Loki declares war on humanity and Hod put a bullet in Loki's head. The scene shifts back to the present and Hod is seen taking off on a jump pad.
- Kill the dark elves that appear and crack open the nearby pods for health. Enter the cyberspace well and use LT to raise the nearby gate. Return to the real world and raid the obelisk behind the throne. Use the jump pad to the far right side.
- Charge into battle with dark elves. Use a ruiner to end the battle quickly and grab health in the red pods to the right. Use a ranged weapon to kill the spider archer along the path. Try to roll out of range when it attacks with the plasma stomp.
- Follow Hod down the glass ramp and kill the dark elves along the path. Roll down the ramp to avoid taking damage from the plasma attacks. Bust open the red pods for health. Switch to a rifle and keep tagging Hod to avoid his annoying laser blasts.
- Move to the end of the path and wait for the elevator to return. Hop on and crack open all the pods to find health or bounty. Ride up the second elevator and the boss fight begins.
- YouTube: Too Human - Boss Fight #2 - Hod (Time: 7:49)
- Baldur has to reach Hod first. Shoot the small power generator to the right of the first barrier. Baldur has to destroy all five platforms before facing Hod. Use a laser rifle to wear down each platform until all five have exploded. Repeat this process on each elevator floor.
- TIP: It's tough to pull off but try to wear down the health of a platform nearly to explosion. Shoot the platform as Hod jumps to it and avoid having to destroy the other platforms.
- YouTube: too human walkthrough part 22 (Time: 9:33)
- Move to the bottom floor to fight Hod. Take out the dark elves first with the sliding chain attack before focusing on Hod. Hod is impervious to ranged weapons, so get in close with melee. Slash away and roll out of the way when he starts to fire his weapon.
- CUTSCENE: Baldur walks up to a dying Hod and gives him a few choice words. He puts a bullet in Hod's head and rips off the cybernetic implant. He starts to stomp it, but decides to hang onto it instead. The scene shifts to Baldur speaking to the women in the Giant Tree. He asks them to analyze the eye implant. He wants them to decrypt the stream so he could see what Hod viewed.
-
Aesir Part II
- Go check out the conversation near Lord Heimdall in the corner of the Giant Tree room.
- YouTube: too human walkthrough part 23 (Time: 9:12)
- CUTSCENE: Heimdall and Baldur speak to a floating cybernetic head about a weapon called Yormangand on the World Serpent. The group makes plans to storm the World Serpent and steal the weapon.
- Hop into cyberspace to explore again.
- CUTSCENE: Baldur speaks to the NORNs about the World Serpent. He learns more about the history of humanity and machines.
- Look for a door to the left of the NORN pool. Follow it to find an obelisk and enter another pool. Use Baldur's pull ability (LT) to open the first door on the left. Raid the obelisk and move back outside. Hang a left and look for another obelisk along the path to the right.
- Search the nearby branching paths to find a third obelisk and a door to push open. The purple energy still surrounds the area and cannot be passed yet.
- Return to the opening clearing and revisit the path that was taken before the Ice Forest level. There is a door that can be pulled open at the end of the path. Grab the gear from the obelisk inside the clearing.
- Leave cyberspace and go check out the feasting hall to raid a couple of obelisks. Take the elevator down and go check out Tyr's lab to visit the weaponry store.
- CUTSCENE: The scene shifts to a god called Hel looking for a new body. She is the daughter of Loki and the administrator of Helheim (a place where the dead rot away). She picks out one and transfers the life force into her own. The procedure should last about 6 months before she has to do it again.
- Load up on new weapons and blueprints. Repeat this process on the opposite side of the main room for armor. Exit towards Baldur's ship to leave.
- Go check out the conversation near Lord Heimdall in the corner of the Giant Tree room.
-
World Serpent
- YouTube: too human walkthrough part 24 (Time: 9:28)
- CUTSCENE: Two pods are ejected from Baldur's ship. They crash onto the icy surface. Thor and Baldur burst out of the pods. They are carrying the head of the adviser Memeer. He points out an opening and Thor smashes the door to open up the facility.
- Move forward and hop into the cyberspace pool. Look behind Baldur to loot an obelisk. Use RT to push the door open and enter the glowing room to exit. Note that the cyberspace pool has closed shut.
- Cross the bridge near Thor. A giant support beam crashes onto the bridge and takes out Thor. Baldur has to continue alone. Continue alone the walkway and through the moving tunnel.
- Cross through the room with the large turbines and prepare for battle. Fight the goblin ambush with the slide attack and exit through the opposite side of the room. Crack open the metal pod in the spinning room for health.
- Move into the next room and fight off a small group of goblins. Grab health from the metal pods in the adjoining room and in the hallway. Walk through the large door on the far end and cross the invisible bridge. Enter cyberspace at the well.
- It turns out that Baldur never actually left cyberspace the first time. He wakes up outside the first door and Thor is still alive. Move along the walkway again and fight goblins along the path.
- Walk into the turbine room again and fight another goblin ambush. The slide attack works perfectly fine in this section. Move through the next door and battle a spider archer. Use melee attacks and roll away from the plasma stomps.
- Crack open the metal console on the right and a door opens behind it. Ride down the lift and charge into the goblins when the rock music starts up. Bunch the group together and fire off a ruiner attack to kill the spider archer as well.
- Loot the nearby obelisk and the metal containers at the far end. Ride up the elevator lit in green and enter into battle with the dark elves near Thor. Use the sliding chain attack to wipe out the group. Use the same strategy on the spider archer and dark elves to the right.
- YouTube: too human walkthrough part 25 (Time: 8:29)
- Cross the bridge and walk onto the elevator. After it stops, enter the room with the sleeping trolls. Hop into cyberspace and use the green glowing stone to gain the water walking ability. Cross the small pond and loot the obelisk.
- Open the door with RT. Walk up the winding path and loot a second obelisk. Press RT twice to close the door and LT once to raise it. Move back to the well and exit cyberspace.
-
Unleashing Evil
- CUTSCENE: Loki's voice broadcasts over the ship's intercom. He mocks the efforts of the two gods and threatens the men. Loki shuts the exits and laughs maniacally.
- Allow Thor to take on the two trolls for the moment and move down the stairs. Ride down the elevator and kill the two trolls at the bottom with the head stabbing maneuver. Loot the three obelisks and return to the top to give Thor a hand.
- YouTube: too human walkthrough part 26 (Time: 10:00)
- Allow Thor to take the hits and shoot the trolls from a distance. Move through the door and ride the lift down into the abyss of the facility. Move off the lift and shoot the power supply to open the door.
- Focus on disabling the troll armor immediately and use a ruiner as the dark elves approach. Kill the troll with the head stab and move up the walkway. Charge the dark elves and look for health in the nearby metal pods. Loot the obelisk and enter the lit door.
- Kill the dark elves immediately and use head stab on the first troll. The modification on the grenade troll is more difficult. The giant ammo pack on the back of the troll has to be destroyed first. Try to stay behind the troll and use melee jumps to slash at the pack.
- Be careful of the large explosion when this troll dies. Move past the pumping pistons and enter into a large fight with dark elves. Use the sliding chain attack and there should be plenty of health to keep Baldur alive.
- Continue along the walkway and try to attract the attention of the dark elves. Kill the elves first and focus on the trolls second. Try to avoid attracting the attention of the spider archer across the gap.
- YouTube: too human walkthrough part 27 (Time: 9:38)
- Move forward and enter the next door. Kill the large troll by slashing at the power supply on his back and performing the head stab maneuver. Run to the far end to fight another group of dark elves.
- TIP: Move up the ramp where the dark elves appeared. Use the white shining teleport to reach a secret section of the facility. Every time the rock music cranks up, Baldur has to kill dark elves, trolls and spider archers. Continue along the path to find an obelisk and the teleport exit.
- YouTube: too human walkthrough part 27 (Time: 9:38)
- Rejoin Thor and move back into the main door. Walk through the exit and move up the glass walkway to fight dark elves. Watch out for bright green dark elves. They emit a poison effect when destroyed.
- Fight the troll at the end of the walkway and proceed through the door. Take out the dark elves first and focus on the grenade trolls second. Thor should do an excellent job of taking out the grenade arm of the two trolls while Baldur slides between elves.
-
Breaking Apart
- YouTube: too human walkthrough part 28 (Time: 9:39)
- Kill the spider archer at the far end of the room and watch as the room starts to crumble. Baldur thinks that Loki is trying to reactivate the machine for his own twisted use. Continue through the door at the far end and over the bridge.
- Move into the room with the giant generators and watch out for several elite elves. It's not a bad idea to use the previous door and lead them out for a safer fight. Kill the spider archer in the room and follow the walkway to the opposite side of the room.
- TIP: Instead of continuing through the door, turn around and hop into the cyberspace pool. Loot the obelisk and return to the real world.
- YouTube: too human walkthrough part 29 (Time: 9:14)
- Move into the next room and hop on the moving walkway on the left. Ride the walkway and kill the dark elves that appear. Look for metal pods on the left and right for more health.
- Fight the grenade troll at the end of the moving walkway. Try to take out the grenade arm immediately as the room is very small. Walk through the large door and look for a pack of dark elves on the right side. Use the sliding chain attack to kill them quickly.
- Move through a large door at the far end and kill the hammer troll with the head stab maneuver. Walk through the next door and start fighting dark elves immediately.
- There is a spinning energy ball at the far end of the room. Follow the winding path and kill dark elves. Take out the spider archer at the top of the ramp and move towards the energy ball. Access the cyberspace well.
- Loot the two obelisks and use push to send the boulder flying into the spinning rocks. Exit cyberspace.
-
Brothers
- CUTSCENE: Thor smashes the energy ball and Memeer (the severed head) says it's time to go. Thor wants to stay behind and kill the machine. Baldur wants to return to Aesir and warn the others about Loki. They are interrupted by a large group of goblins.
- Kill the goblins and use head stab on the hammer troll. Take the lift behind the troll down a floor. Press A to access the console and gain new gear. Take the lift back up and look for the door on the far right.
- Move through the control room and into the glass hallway. Kill the large packs of goblin minions and race to the far end to dispatch of the missile goblins. Exit through the door.
- YouTube: Too Human - Boss Fight #3 - The Everlasting Hate (Time: 5:47)
- Baldur has to face a variant on the troll called The Everlasting Hate. It's a tougher version of the troll and has massive amounts of armor. Similar to the GRNDL fight on the first level, keep your distance and fire with a ranged weapon.
- Ruiners work well for freezing the giant troll. Baldur has time to reposition and find a better shooting angle. Focus on the arms first. They are protected with three layers (blue, yellow, green) of health. Taking out the arms allows Baldur to freely move about and slash the goblin minions.
- TIP: Any time Everlasting Hate tries to swing, hit B to roll out of the way. Baldur can avoid tremendous amounts of damage using this method.
- YouTube: too human walkthrough part 32 (Time: 6:58)
- Thor rejoins Baldur after the fight. Hop on the lift in the middle of the arena. Exit to a second lift to leave the facility.
- CUTSCENE: Baldur and Thor leave the elevator through the roof. The scene shifts to Aesir. Loki's followers storm the prison and kill the guards to free their master. He's promising the end to the God's reign for their allegiance. A now free Loki takes his mace and slices up the Aesir guards. Loki is seen exiting to the shuttle bay and leaving his followers to die.
-
Aesir Part III
- YouTube: too human walkthrough part 33 (Time: 9:22)
- Make a pit stop in the weapons and armor section to max out Baldur's gear. Move into the elevator and head to the feasting hall for a scene.
- CUTSCENE: Lord Heimdall is overseeing the execution of Loki's followers. Thor is on the floor taking an axe to their heads. The scene shifts to the group bickering over the course of action. Odin speaks and ends their discussion. Odin directs them to go after Loki. The scene shifts again to Frey speaking to Heimdall about the direction of humanity. Frey is worried that humanity's faith in the gods will falter.
- Visit cyberspace again at the Giant Tree. Move towards the NORN pool and look for a new path to the far right. Follow it and walk over the water to use a pool. Raid the two obelisks and push open the door. Cross the bridge to find three more obelisks.
- Use pull on the door and cross a second bridge. Raid the obelisk and backtrack over the bridges. Take a right into the water and raid another obelisk. Return to the pool to exit.
- Feel free to explore the previous sections from parts 1 and 2. There are a few places where water walking helps Baldur reach obelisks. Head back to the ship when ready to leave for Helheim.
-
Helheim
- YouTube: too human walkthrough part 34 (Time: 9:34)
- CUTSCENE: The troops gear up for war on Helheim. The gods land on Helheim in their pods and start waging war. The scene shifts to Loki saying goodbye to his daughter. There is only one directive: Kill Loki.
- Take down the first group of undead and shoot out the brace directly ahead. Charge onto the next battlefield and hack away at more undead creatures. Use the sliding chain attack to switch between targets quickly and efficiently. There are plenty of red pods on the battlefield if Baldur needs health.
- When the first shock zombie appears, wait for him to approach and fire with a ranged weapon. The blast radius is considerable. Try to roll away before he explodes.
- Move down the hill and assault the main gate. Zip between targets and try to avoid the white undead soldiers. They create a slowing effect on surrounding soldiers when exploding. After the tanks blast open the gate, lead the Wolf Squad across the bridge.
- YouTube: too human walkthrough part 35 (Time: 9:12)
- Start slaughtering the undead again. It's really quite easy compared to the dark elves on the previous level. There is plenty of health to be found. Look on the left side of the room to find a cyberspace well. Enter it and walk across the bridge to snag loot from an obelisk.
- Move up the stairs and attack the group of undead on the circular platform. Follow the platform and hop into the aqueduct. Move to the right and slice away at the wall with a crack in it. Collect the gear from the obelisk inside.
- Move down the far side of the aqueduct and slice through the various undead soldiers. Loot the obelisk at the end of the waterway and backtrack to move up the ramp.
- YouTube: too human walkthrough part 36 (Time: 9:50)
- Fight another series of undead creatures and rejoin the Wolf Squad. Watch as a portion of the bridge crumbles and cuts off Baldur from the rest of the men. Move down the bridge on the right side of the main platform.
- Fight more undead and utilize the length of the platform. It's great for ranged weapons and backing up to avoid being hit. When the large metal snake head appears, wait for the mouth to drop off more undead soldiers. Kill them and move into the nearby door.
- Rejoin the Wolf Squad and start slicing through the undead again. Hop between groups with the sliding chain attack. Unleash ruiners when at all possible. Loot the obelisk on the left and follow the platform to the right to find a cyberspace well.
- YouTube: too human walkthrough part 37 (Time: 8:36)
- Use the well to find a single obelisk. Loot it and return to the real world. Move up the nearby ramp and Baldur has to fight a floating mass of undead goo. Use ranged attacks to keep the creature at bay. Baldur can also retreat down the ramp to completely avoid his plasma attack.
- TIP: The floating piles of goo have the power to raise the dead. Focus on killing the goo if Baldur is in an area heavy with undead soldiers.
- Move along the lengthy bridge and fight another series of undead. Use ranged attacks and the sliding chain attack to massacre the group. Blast another floating pile of goo at the end of the path. Hang a left and continue along the walkway killing undead.
- TIP: Baldur can collect loot from an obelisk by taking a right at the end of the path. It's an extremely long walkway and there are tons of undead enemies along the path.
-
Out for a Stroll
- YouTube: too human walkthrough part 38 (Time: 8:21)
- Proceed through the door and walk down the ramp killing undead. Use the sliding chain attack on all enemies on the ramp and in the upcoming waterway. Follow the waterway to the left and look for a large arena.
- Enter the arena and allow the enemies to bunch up. Fire off a couple of ruiners to destroy the majority of the tougher undead enemies. Use the sliding chain attack on the remaining few. Loot the obelisk on the right when finished killing the massive amount of undead.
- YouTube: too human walkthrough part 39 (Time: 9:26)
- Follow the bridge and continue fighting undead repeatedly. The path winds downward and there are plenty of red orbs to bust open if Baldur is low on health. Pass through the door at the end of the passage and launch into another undead battle.
- Look for two piles of floating goo at the end of the path. Try to kill them quickly otherwise they continually raise fallen undead soldiers. Look for a long path to the right with an obelisk. Return to the main path and take a left.
- Fight another series of undead soldiers and the large goo monster. Loot the nearby obelisk and hang a left down another walkway. Watch out for another series of undead soldiers. Look for another cyberspace well on the right. Loot the obelisk inside cyberspace and return to the real world.
- YouTube: too human walkthrough part 41 (Time: 9:24)
- Climb the stairs at the end of the path and enter the next door. Wait for the stream of undead to appear and use the sliding chain attack. Watch out for the large Elite explosive undead soldiers. They pack quite a punch.
- Move into the area with three adjoining paths. Use the sliding chain attack to wipe out the undead minions. Look for a group of elite undead to appear in the distance. Watch out for the two metal snake heads dropping off troops on the left and the right. Pop open the nearby red pods if Baldur needs more health.
- Move up the stairs and wait for the sliding metal door to drop. Smash open the red pods on the path and take a right into the arena.
-
Knock, Knock
- CUTSCENE: Baldur rejoins the gods to enter Helheim's main fortress and they are greeted by a half dog/half porcupine beast of massive proportions. Baldur directs the Wolf Squad to flanking positions and prepares to battle the monster.
- GARM is the beast's name. GARM has a few attacks. Watch out for the flying spikes and rockets when GARM shakes his head. GARM also leaps at Baldur but that's easily dodged by pressing B.
- Run circles around GARM and use a rifle to fire shots into his various weak points. Take out the eye first. When GARM drops into the fetal position, slash away with a sword. Quickly back up and start firing with the rifle again.
- Repeat this cycle until all the weak spots have been exploited. Try to avoid using grenades as they only hit GARM about a third of the time.
- YouTube: too human walkthrough part 42 (Time: 9:44)
- CUTSCENE: The beast starts to falter and Tyr decides to make the finishing blow. He readies his lance with explosives and makes a leap into the mouth of the beast. The jaws of GARM are pinned open with the lance. Tyr is unfortunately stuck in the mouth. He decides to set off the explosive and die a valiant death.
- Move toward the pointy structure and collect the loot from the obelisk. Backtrack past the fallen beast and enter the door lit up in red. Hang a right at the first turn and fight the small groups of undead with the sliding chain attack.
- YouTube: too human walkthrough part 43 (Time: 9:08)
- Look for red pods that contain health on the left and right sides of the passage. Follow the walkway and kill undead until reaching a lift. Ride up to the top floor and walk up the stairs. Charge into the room and chain attack the undead monsters spawning in the room.
- CUTSCENE: A pinned Wolf is seen firing on the undead soldiers. He's trying to buy time for the Valkyrie to take his buddies body to heaven. The Valkyrie decides to take him instead.
- Baldur has to battle undead Elite Wolf squad soldiers now. These guys are a bit tougher, but a ruiner takes them down quickly. Move to the far end of the room and exit through the door.
- YouTube: too human walkthrough part 44 (Time: 8:55)
- Zip through the next set of undead and enter the cyberspace well to the right. (This should trigger the All Cyberspace Wells achievement.)
- Access the green stone to unlock the final cyberspace power and assemble the final piece needed to use the cybernetic eye implant. Hold down X on the platform to burn away the purple light streams. Push open the door and loot the obelisk. Leave cyberspace.
- Exit through the opposite door and cross the bridge. Move up the stairs and along the hall to the right. Baldur finds himself in a feasting hall.
-
Familiar Faces
- YouTube: too human walkthrough part 44 (Time: 8:55)
- CUTSCENE: Loki's daughter Hel greets Baldur. He demands to see Loki and she claims that Baldur has been in Helheim before. She gives him a demonstration on how humans can be reborn and claims to have done the same to Baldur. She also explains how the purple entity (Nihog) consuming cyberspace is eventually going to consume humanity and bring about the age of Ragnarok. Baldur screams at her and swears to stop her from ever tormenting a human body again.
- Chase Hel along the bridge and into the next room. She starts summoning undead to her aid. Ignore them and attack Hel. Use a ruiner when the undead monsters get to be too much. When Hel loses a quarter of her health, she retreats to the next room.
- CUTSCENE: Baldur walks into the next room and Baldur starts to remember portions of his old life. Hel tells Baldur that his wife committed suicide when Baldur died and the gods of Aesir dumped his wife's body on Hel's doorstep. Hel reveals Baldur's wife regenerated and Nanna reaches out to touch Baldur. Baldur is enraged at Hel and screams at her.

- Start hacking away at Hel again. She occasionally calls up some undead, but it's not as many this time. Slide toward her when she teleports to the corner of the room and slash away. Farm the undead for health if needed. When Hel falls to 25% health, she retreats again.
- Move through the door and along the walkway. Kill the undead along the path and try to increase the combo meter. Move up to the circular platform and immediately attack Hel. She repeats the same teleporting trick, but there are no undead soldiers to worry about this time. Stay close to her at all times and slash away until death.
- CUTSCENE: Baldur sends Hel flying onto one of the torture racks. The machines take over and start to hack away at Hel until she dies. Nanna approaches and wants to rejoin Baldur for a moment. She doubles over in tremendous pain and Baldur raises his sword to end her misery. He relents, but the wolf spirit of Fenrir takes over and kills the girl. Baldur curses the wolf and sees some undead approaching.

- Backtrack to exit the room. Use the chain attack to wipe out the undead minions along the way. Keep fighting back to the feasting room.
- CUTSCENE: Baldur's ship picks him up near the feasting hall. The ships are seen leaving in formation. They drop a nuke on the entire facility to end the lives of the men suffering on the ground.

Aesir Part IV
- CUTSCENE: Baldur walks into Tyr's laboratory. He has reassembled the eye. Baldur decrypts the data stream and watches a broadcast of his own death. Hod, who mistakenly saw Loki, put a bullet in Baldur's head.
- Take a moment to clear out Baldur's inventory of old weapons, armor, charms and runes.
- Leave the lab and a scanner tells Baldur to visit the feasting hall. Move up the elevator, but head into cyberspace at the giant tree first. The entire portion of cyberspace is open to Baldur. Re-visit old sections to use the fire skill and explore the previously closed route to find tons of loot in the obelisks.
- TIP: The reason for searching cyberspace now is that all the obelisks reset when a new game starts. The new game keeps all the current stats, armor, weapons, etc...
- When finished exploring, head for the feasting hall.
- CUTSCENE: The gods are mourning and drinking to Tyr's death. Baldur is angry and demands to know if they drank when he died. Baldur screams at them for stealing his body from Helheim and starting this war. He storms out of the dining hall and the scene shifts to Heimdall's office. They are talking about Loki's disappearance. The shot cuts to Loki laughing near an enormous robot.
- Congratulations, you have just beaten Too Human!

Achievement Tips
- If you followed the walkthrough, it's likely that you are in the neighborhood of 650 to 700 gamerscore points. You have already knocked out some of the tougher collection quests and enemy kill tasks. The majority of the story related achievements are also finished. Here are some tips on the remaining achievements:
- Exultation of Steel or Triumph of Humanity: This is a story related achievement that relates to your alignment. Play the game a second time and choose the opposite alignment as the previous play-though. The achievement pops up when Hel is defeated.
- Unstoppable: Beyond the first level, the no-death achievements can be very tricky. Patiently move through the level in question and use a co-op buddy if needed. Use ranged weapons whenever possible and memorize the strategy for killing the level boss.
- Unrelenting Rage: This can be accomplished on nearly any shielded goblin by juggling them with slug ammo. Simply launch them into the air and use a ranged weapon to rack up a 100 hit combo.
- True Son of Odin, I'm Rich..., Relics of a Forgotten Past: These achievements can be earned by using your previous character on a second play-though or various levels in co-op mode. Simply farm goblins on Hall of Heroes to rack up levels, bounty and elite armor. Play to level 50 and all the enemy kill achievements are accomplished as well.
