Tony Scott is a British film director and producer. He is the brother of acclaimed director Ridley Scott. Together they operate the film production company Scott Free Productions.

Anthony D. L. Scott was born in Northumberland, England UK on June 11, 1944. He first garnered national attention with his cult hit The Hunger starring David Bowie. But his first true box office hit was with the Tom Cruise star vehicle Top Gun. He has since carved out a reputation as a stylized action director with a distinct and unique visual style. Tony Scott's resume includes the hit films Revenge, True Romance, Crimson Tide and Man on Fire. In 2009, Scott directs the remake of the thriller The Taking of Pelham 123.
