Early Life
William Anthony Parker was born in Burges, Belgium, on May 17, 1982. He played professional basketball in France with the Paris Basket Racing basketball club. He was heavily recruited by colleges in the United States, but decided to keep playing professionally in France.Pro Career
Parker was selected in the 2001 NBA draft by the San Antonio Spurs with the 28th pick. He started his career as a solid back-up to point guard Antonio Daniels. After adjusting to the NBA style of play, he would lead the San Antonio Spurs as the starting point guard to an NBA Championship in 2003. He would win a second championship with the Spurs in 2005 and a third in 2007, this time as the NBA Finals MVP.Personal Life
On July 7, 2007, Parker married actress Eva Longoria. In December of the same year, the paparazzi company X17 reported that Parker had an affair with French model Alexandra Paressant. Claiming that the story was false and defamatory, Parker sued X17 for over $20 million.-
