Early Life
Tony Gwynn Jr. was born in Long Beach, California, on October 4, 1982. He is the son of Hall of Fame baseball player Tony Gwynn. Gwynn Jr. attended Poway High School. He continued his education at San Diego State University. On July 15, 2006, Gwynn Jr. made his MLB debut with the Milwaukee Brewers. In his first season, he appeared in 32 games and compiled a .260 batting average.
