Career Highlights
Smith was a four-time All-American running back for the Pittsburgh Panthers when he won the Heisman Trophy Award in 1976. He played for the Dallas Cowboys from 1977 through 1987, playing his final year with the Denver Broncos in 1988. He is well remembered for many records in the NFL, most notably is his 99 yard touchdown from the line of scrimmage in 1983 against the Minnesota Vikings, a record which still stands today. -
