    On May 13, 2009, Banks publicly stated that he believes Cristal Taylor to be the same woman who targeted and harassed him in 1997. Banks said he recalled she was using the name Theresa at the time.     Banks believes he met Cristine Taylor, who was going by the name Theresa, when he was a 24-year-old in his second season with the St. Louis Rams in 1997. Though he did not realize it at the time, he later discovered Banks had gotten his contact information through one of his college friends. After he was selected in the second round of the NFL draft, Banks had allowed a college friend to do some marketing work for him. However, when Banks decided not to hire his friend as his agent, "the college friend 'sicced' Taylor on him.

    Banks admitted that he thought she was "just gorgeous" after she sent a photo of herself to him in the mail. He recalled, "Me being a kid, thinking I was the best thing since sliced bread, I gave her a call and ended up dating her."     Banks said Taylor made harassing phone calls to him, his agent, his marketing team in addition to first-year Rams coach Dick Vermeil.   • Taylor-Nowitzki Relationship

    Cristal Taylor was arrested at Dirk Nowitzki's Dallas home on May 6, 2009. Taylor has allegedly has used several aliases over the course of two decades and in at least two states and has been considered a fugitive since 2001.

    Nowitzki reportedly started to question Taylor in early May 2009, after becoming suspicious about Taylor's past and but he continued to let her live in his home. As of May 13, 2009, Taylor has been indicted in Beaumont and the bond on the theft of service charge was raised from $20,000 to $50,000. She will be arraigned sometime during the week of May 18-24, 2009 before Jefferson County Criminal District Court Judge John Stevens regarding the theft of service charge.
