Drummer Tommy Lee is an American musician and co-founder of the heavy metal band Motley Crue. The band achieved massive popularity in the 1980s.
Lee reports in April of 2009 that he is being impersonated by someone using his description on an internet dating site. The unidentified man goes by the user name d33pthr0at. He posted the following on the website "What up beautiful bunnies. Erratic Helicopter Ride
Lee's helicopter was ordered to land at the Van Nuys Airport in California on February 1, 2009, after it was seen by a Los Angeles police department chopper flying erratically. Motley Crue
Motley Crue released its debut album in 1991 on an independent record label and achieved great success with 1983's Shout at the Devil. The group is regarded as one of the era's best known metal bands. The members of the group, including Lee, was known to have dangerous lifestyles, including indulging in drugs and alcohol. Motley Crue's excesses are outlined in the book The Dirt.
Personal Life
Lee was married to Pamela Anderson from 1995-1998. The couple had two children and are now divorced. Lee was also married to actress Heather Locklear.
It was rumored in June 2008 that Lee and Anderson briefly reunited after being divorced for ten years.
