Tommy Lee Jones

Tommy Lee Jones is an American actor and director. He was born on September 15, 1946 in San Saba, Texas. Jones attended high school in Midland, Texas, the same school First Lady Laura Bush attended. Jones attended Harvard on a scholarship and played on their varsity football team in 1968. Jones graduated in the year of 1969 with a degree in English. He married Kate Lardner, daughter of American journalist Ring Lardner Jr., in 1971. They divorced seven years later in 1978. Jones later married Kimberlea Cloughey with whom he had two children Victoria Kafka and Austin Leonard. The couple later divorced. On March 19, 2001, he got married for the third time to Dawn Laurel. Jones owns a large ranch in Terrell Hills, Texas where he resides.

Acting Career

Jones started his acting career performing on Broadway and on television. He made his film debut in 1970 with the movie Love Story. From there, he played Dr. Mark Toland on the ABC soap opera, One Life to Live from 1971 to 1975. Since then, he has been in other well known films such as Coal Miner's Daughter, Black Moon Rising, Lonesome Dove, JFK, and Under Siege. His more recent works include the films Men in Black, Space Cowboys, Men in Black II, The Missing, and No Country for Old Men.
