DLC Details

The downloadable content for Tomb Raider Underworld is exclusive to the 360 and features two separate packs. Eidos announced the packs, titled Beneath the Ashes and Lara's Shadow, on October 6, 2008. In their original announcement, they stated Beneath the Ashes was to be released by the end of 2008, but it never surfaced. According to Eidos, Beneath the Ashes "takes place after the Underworld story has finished and will feature an incredible new environment to explore, additional secrets to unlock and different enemies to fight." DLC Controversy

A small bit of controversy has arisen about the Tomb Raider Underworld DLC, with people who claim to be former employees of developer Crystal Dynamics posting on message boards that the DLC was actually supposed to be part of the original game. Crystal Dynamics Creative Director Eric Lindstrom has gone on record saying that was the not the case at all.
