Tom Welling

Tom Welling is an American actor, director, and former fashion model. He was born on April 26, 1977 in Putnam Valley, New York. Welling has three siblings, Rebecca, Jamie, and actor Mark Welling. Welling graduated from Okemos High School in Okemos, Michigan in 1995. On July 5, 2002, Welling married long time sweetheart and model Jamie White in Martha's Vineyard. He and his wife currently reside in Vancouver with their two dogs In August 2009, Welling won another Teen Choice Award as "Choice TV Actor (Action Adventure)" for Smallville. The season 9 of Smallville TV series premiered on September 25, 2009 where he plays the role of Clark Kent ( Superman ).

Welling began his career as a fashion model where he modeled for well known brands such as Abercrombie & Fitch, Calvin Klein, Tommy Hilfiger and others. From modeling, he went on to play in the CBS television series Judging Amy. He's most noted, however, for his role as Clark Kent in the WB television series Smallville. In late 2003, Welling played in the film Cheaper by the Dozen. He went on to play in other well known films such as The Fog, and Cheaper by the Dozen 2.
