Tom Watson

Tom Watson is a professional golfer who played on the PGA Tour for 27 years, then moved to the Champions Tour in 1999. Watson won eight major championships, The Masters twice, the U.S. Open once and the British Open five times.

Watson turned heads in 1977, when he beat the untouchable Jack Nicklaus, at the British Open. Again in 1982, he beat Nicklaus in a showdown at the U.S. Open. In the late 70s and early 80s, while in his prime, Watson was the number one player for four years in a row, according to McCormack's World Golf Rankings.
