Brief Biography
Following his graduation from the University of New Mexico Law School in 1977, Udall served as a prosecutor. His focus switched to public service in the 1990s, when he became the Attorney General for the state of New Mexico. Udall served two consecutive four-year terms as Attorney General, the first to do so in New Mexico. In 1998, Udall was elected as the representative for New Mexico's 3rd Congressional District. He has served in Congress in the years since, including on the House Appropriations Committee.
