Political Positions
A strong opponent of illegal immigration, Tancredo was the founder and chairman of the Congressional Immigration Reform Caucus. He has advocated to stop all immigration into the United States. For his views on immigration, Tancredo found himself at odds with the Bush White House. In 2004, he founded Team America a political action committee that raised money for congressional candidates who opposed illegal immigration. However, due to violations in campaign law requirements, Tancredo was forced to resign as chairman of the committee.

The Ed Show asked Tom Tancredo if the Health Care Bill was the biggest threat to America and he said yes, it was an even bigger threat than illegal immigration. He coments on some health care reform protest posters and says they are being held by democrats. He says the health care bill will take $500 billion out of Medicare. He says veterans would much rather have vouchers for private health care than the health care they have through the veteran's administration. He and the newscaster get in an argument over this. Eventually Tom Tancredo just walks off the stage.
