Thomas Peter Shadyac known to the world as Tom Shadyac was born on December 11, 1958 in Falls Church, Virginia. He is known to the world as an actor but better known as a film producer. When he was 24 years old he moved to Los Angeles, California to pursue his career and began working as a writer for Bob Hope. Later he went on to graduate from UCLA with his masters in film. From this point on he made some guest appearances in the television and film world.
Tom Shadyac has become well known for his partnership with Jim Carrey. He cast Carrey in his first major film role in 1994s Ace Ventura Pet Detective. Other films they worked together on include: Liar Liar and Bruce Almighty. Shadyac has also worked together with other stars such as Eddie Murphy, Robin Williams, and Kevin Costner. His resume also includes production of the ABC series 8 Simple Rules for Dating My Teenage Daughter.
Tom Shadyac considers himself religiously a Lebanese Christian. He is currently married to Jennifer Barker.
