  • Career Highlights

    Preissing began his career playing for the Colorado College Tigers, starting in 1999. Following graduation he signed as an undrafted free agent with the San Jose Sharks on April 4, 2003. He made his NHL debut with the Sharks the following year, then played for the Krefeld Pinguine in the Deutsche Eishockey-Liga, or top hockey league in Germany, during the 2004-05 NHL Lockout. Preissing returned to the United States to play one additional season for the Sharks. On July 9, 2006, Preissing was involved in a three way trade that first sent him to the Chicago Blackhawks, then to the Ottawa Senators the next day. After one season with the Senators, Preissing signed as a free agent with the Los Angeles Kings on July 2, 2007.
