Tom Green is a Canadian actor/comedian that gained public attention on The Tom Green Show, a variety comedy show on the MTV cable television network that featured Green in outlandish comedy segments often involving cruel and shocking pranks on people. He has been in several movies as well, including Charlie's Angels and Road Trip.
On July 6, 2009, Green was rumored to have been rushed to a hospital after getting into a car accident in Fullerton, California. The story was eventually discovered to be a hoax.
Shock Humor
Before Jackass began shocking laughter out audiences, Tom Green has begun to pioneer his brand of shock humor. He began on a public access station in the Ottawa area, but his show's popularity quickly gained the attention of producers who worked for the MTV cable network. There he pioneered his method of playing goofy pranks on unsuspecting and often severely irritated victims. He would continue growing his popularity, and eventually starred in several feature films, one of which, Freddy Got Fingered seemed to be semi-autobiographical, with Green playing a virtually insane man who enjoyed playing pranks on his parents, which was something Green did on his show. His popularity waned, but he returned to the public in 2006 with a new MTV show, Tom Green Live!.
Rap Career
Before his move into comedy, om Green was a rapper with a group called Organized Rhyme. After he had established himself as a comedian and had not rapped for several years, he returned to his hip-hop roots with The Keeping it Real Cru a group that featured Green and DJ EZ Mike of Dust Brothers fame.
