  • Tom Coughlin is the head coach for the NFL's New York Giants. In the 2007-2008 season, Coughlin lead the Giants to a Super Bowl victory over the heavily favored, New England Patriots. In August of 2008, Herbert Alex Simpson of Philadelphia was arrested for sending Coughlin threatening letters, attempting to extort money based on false claims that the coach had an affair with two local women.

  • Brief Biography

    Tom Coughlin got his start in coaching at his alma mater, Syracuse University in 1967. He later went on to become the head coach at the Rochester Institute of Technology between the years of 1970-1973. He, then, coached Doug Flutie at Boston College and made his NFL debut a year later in 1974 as the wide receivers coach with the Philadelphia Eagles. His first head coaching job in the NFL came with the expansion Jacksonville Jaguars in 1995. He later became the head coach of the New York Giants, and in 2008, lead them to a Super Bowl victory over the New England Patriots.
