Storyline
The world is evolving beyond nations and states. Countries have been hiring private corporations to help them with their wars, and these corporations have been getting more and more powerful. It has come to the point where corporations have more technology and assets than the countries they work for. When this point is reached, the corporations become self-governed and have no reason to be under the control of the countries that once had power over them. The uprising of these private military corporations (PMCs) becomes apparent around the year 2016, but by then it may be too late.Official Site: Story

Introduction
The following is a full text walkthrough in progress for Tom Clancy's HAWX, a combat flight action game for the Playstation 3, Xbox 360, and PC. This walkthrough was created using the "Normal" difficulty level on the Playstation 3, so some details may differ on other versions of the game. -
General Tips
- In the campaign, you should always hold the right trigger button to reach new areas as quickly as you can. It is very important to get to the enemy quickly, especially in escort and protect missions.
- On the other hand, in dogfights, holding the left trigger button gives you the best maneuverability, so you can get behind enemy planes and fire away.
- Learn to use both your missiles and the cannon. Missiles take a minute to reach enemy planes, so you should go ahead and attempt to line up cannon fire to hit them while you wait, especially if you know they'll take several missiles to go down.
- If your opponent is a helicopter or ground unit that only takes one missile to destroy, keep things moving by switching targets to another enemy just after you shoot the missile.
- Whether you should use Assistance ON or OFF is mostly just about your preference. However, several actions (like shooting radar-guided missiles or your cannon) are more easily done with Assistance ON. OFF mode gives you more maneuverability in dogfights at the expense of a chance of stalling.
- Pull up from a stall by holding the right trigger button and getting the nose horizontal.
- Go ahead and use the recommended plane and weapons layout for each campaign mission the first time through. In future playthroughs, you may have better options, but you're unlikely to for now.

Mission 1: Ghost Rider
- GameAnyone: Operation: Ghost Rider (1/2) (Time: 8:15)
- GameAnyone: Operation: Ghost Rider (2/2) (Time: 3:59)
- You begin the mission with yellow reticles showing enemy anti-aircraft (hereafter referred to as AA) far off in the distance. Just listen to the radio chatter and keep flying towards them.
- Hold the left trigger button to slow down and the right trigger button to speed up.
- Once you start getting fairly close, point down towards the enemy AA and wait for the yellow reticle to turn red, indicating a missile lock. Then fire one missile for each enemy target, immediately switching to the next target after you fire.
- Repeat this process for two more small groups of tanks and AA, watching for the yellow targets on your map. The green targets represent your forces.
- Right before you finish dealing with them, you'll get a call telling you to assist a Ghost Recon that's been pinned down in the middle of the city. A life bar appears representing Ghost Recon's ability to keep fighting.
- Fly over to your new targets, several tanks surrounding the Ghost Recon. Fly towards them and shoot one missile for each as before.
- Enemy helicopters now start flying in towards Ghost Recon. You have to balance your time between destroying the tanks and the helicopters as they appear. Don't fly too far out for a helicopter, as there will likely be a new squadron of tanks bearing down on Ghost Recon before you get to them.
- After holding off several rounds of tanks and helicopters, enemy fighter jets now start to arrive, trying to destroy the transport you've sent to extract Ghost Recon. These require a bit more maneuvering and skill to lock onto. They also take two missiles before being destroyed.
- You'll notice that the jets' speed makes your system take much longer to lock on. You have to keep them near your sights long enough to get lock, then fire the two missiles quickly before you lose them.
- After defeating a few squadrons of fighters, the mission is over. A quick talk with one of your wingmates reveals that your Air Force Squadron is about to be dissolved, so you plan to join a private military company (PMC).
-
Mission 2: Adder
- GameAnyone: Operation: Adder (1/2) (Time: 9:15)
- GameAnyone: Operation: Adder (2/2) (Time: 3:33)
- The recommended plane for this mission is the SU-25 Frogfoot.
- In the first half of this mission, you must protect the oil refinery from tanks, helicopters, mobile AA, and fighter-bombers. You'll actually see a large green ring surrounding the refinery that becomes red when enemy units enter it, meaning that the refinery can be hit for damage. Prevent its life bar from becoming empty.
- To begin with, you only have ground units to worry about, so there isn't any real problem. Just hold the right trigger button to get to each group as fast as you can, then deal with them one by one as best as you can.
- The AA may eventually start shooting up at you, in which case you can fly away and then come back to shoot them down from a further distance.
- Helicopters then enter the fray, and they, like last mission, can be dealt with in a similar fashion.
- As the enemy brings in fighter-bombers, then you have something to worry about. If you hear that enemy fighter-bombers are coming in, you must prioritize them at once, flying over there as fast as you can. Send your wingmates to attack some ground units while you take them on. Lock on to them and fire two missiles for each.
- This continues for a while, forcing you to prioritize your time on which units you can take down. Always send your wingmates to attack a lower priority unit while you take on the fighter-bombers or ground units that have gotten inside the danger circle. Don't trust them to destroy the units you need dead right now.
- If you can keep the refinery alive for several minutes of this constant bombardment, then the enemies will run away, acting as if the level is over. However, you will then hear that a squadron of bombers with a fighter escort is coming for the refinery now.
- You have three and a half minutes to take down all the bombers. You don't actually need to destroy the enemy fighter escort, so keep them at a low priority.
- If a missile's coming for you, hold the left trigger button and turn sharply. If you are locked onto a bomber and don't want to have to evade the missile, just release your flares by pressing down on the left analog stick.
- The bombers take several missiles, so just keep firing until you can confirm that they're down. Your wingmates should be helpful here in finishing off bombers even if you don't.
- After you destroy all the bombers, the level is complete. You can continue hunting down the fighter escort during the closing chatter, but it's not necessary.
-
Mission 3: Cobalt
- GameAnyone: Operation: Cobalt (1/2) (Time: 8:54)
- GameAnyone: Operation: Cobalt (2/2) (Time: 7:02)
- The recommended plane for this mission is the F-46 AdvancedWildWeasel.
- This mission gives you freefall bombs, which are just old-fashioned dumb bombs that you simply have to drop at the right time. Thankfully, you are given a reticle on the ground of where the bombs will drop, removing any guesswork. Just maneuver that circle into the right position and fire away, so long as you're not upside-down, and the bomb will go there and destroy anything within that radius.
- You are given twenty minutes to dispose of all rebel bases, including every single target reticle at every spot. If you don't destroy a whole cluster of targets with one bomb, you have to turn around and hit it again. This is fine, but don't just drop bombs infinitely, because you can run out of them.
- As you are simply advancing from one target to the next, eventually some fighters will intercept your squad. Your commander will tell you to basically ignore them and stay with the mission, but you should have plenty of time, so go ahead and take them out before continuing on any further. Just make sure you switch back to bombs when you need to.
- After you bomb all the targets, the rebel general's plane will show up, escorted by several fighters. You may not destroy the general's plane, but you need to take out all the fighters before it gets too far along. This works basically like all other dogfights, just make sure you don't specifically gun down the general's plane.
- The mission will end if you destroy all the fighters before the general can escape.
-
Mission 4: Blacklight
- GameAnyone: Operation: Blacklight (1/2) (Time: 9:17)
- GameAnyone: Operation: Blacklight (2/2) (Time: 3:35)
- The recommended plane for this mission is the Mig-29 Fulcrum.
- Your mission is to escort a large bomber plane to its target at a terrorist training camp, protecting it from many Afghan fighter squadrons.
- Keep your tactical map open to find enemy fighters as soon as they appear. Don't stray too far from the bomber, or you may not be able to get back to it if another group of enemies makes its way there.
- Your new multiple-target missiles come in great use here. They lock on from a longer range, and can hit four targets at once, meaning you can sometimes destroy an entire fighter group with one press of a button. If you see a cluster of enemies, always use this before switching to your regular missiles and starting to pursue the stragglers.
- If you can destroy all the enemy fighter groups, you must then destroy three SAM sites at the bombing target before your bomber reaches it.
- It may be difficult to find which angle you should hit the targets from, so you can use the ERS (utilized with the Square button on the PS3) so you can line up your shot correctly.
- After taking out the SAM sites, the mission is complete.
-
Mission 5: OFF Certification
- GameAnyone: Operation: OFF Certification (Time: 8:44)
- This mission introduces Assistance OFF mode, H.A.W.X.'s new method for controlling your aircraft with a long distance camera and crazy aerobatic moves. This is basically a tutorial, but you can still stall out and crash into the Caribbean below.
- Whereas before, you've never had to deal with your airplane stalling, this new mode does present that risk. In return, you receive amazing maneuverability that will help greatly in your future dogfights.
- To begin with, just climb above 3000 meters. Your altitude is listed in a box up and to the right of your plane.
- After that, you must switch between ON and OFF modes three times. Quickly double-tap either of the trigger buttons to accomplish this.
- Now enter a stall. Hold down the left trigger button, and nose up if you want to. You will notice that your plane does a crazy sort of drifting motion, but eventually just drops. Airplane stalls aren't like car engine stalls, but just situations where the plane's aggressive angle of attack causes the wind to stop flowing over the wings smoothly. This causes the plane to fall straight down until it can regain enough speed to get the wind flowing again. In this game, you have to get your airplane nose horizontal and hold the right trigger button to escape a stall.
- Several sets of drones are now set out upon you by the instructor. The first ones are stationary, then the second set moves, then the third set moves and shoots missiles. You just have to get used to dogfighting in Assistance OFF mode to take them all down, and make sure not to hold on the brakes too much, or else you'll stall over and over.
- Destroying the missile-shooting drones completes your certification.
-
Mission 6: Glass Hammer
- GameAnyone: Operation: Glass Hammer (1/2) (Time: 10:44)
- GameAnyone: Operation: Glass Hammer (2/2) (Time: 4:00)
- The recommended plane for this mission is the Su-27 Flanker.
- This level set in Rio de Janeiro requires you to take out a certain number of each type of enemy vehicle. Specifically, you must destroy at least 8 enemy fighters, 12 landing craft, 8 tanks, and later on 9 bombers.
- You can basically destroy them in whatever order you please, but it's probably a good idea to take on the fighters and bombers as soon as they appear.
- The tanks are the trickiest, actually. For the ones inside the city, you have to come in at them from above to get an angle on them. Otherwise, your missile will just hit a building surrounding them. If you must, you can use the ERS to find the right flight path for you.
- After you've destroyed the requisite number of each enemy, you enter phase 2 of the mission, which sends four enemy aces at you. These are regular fighters, but they're a lot faster and better at shooting you down. Take them down in Assistance OFF mode to make things easier, so long as you're used to it by now.
- After destroying the aces, your mission here is complete.
-
Mission 7: Backfire
- GameAnyone: Operation: Backfire (1/2) (Time: 10:42)
- GameAnyone: Operation: Backfire (2/2) (Time: 9:36)
- The recommended plane for this mission is the Mirage 5.
- Your basic mission is to escort a group of US military helicopters to their position with Ghost Recon, defending them from all enemy troops and vehicles. Don't listen to your commander when he says you should provide the minimum support possible.
- First, there are two SAM groups to destroy before the helicopters can reach them. Just lock on and destroy them with regular old joint strike missiles.
- Then a group of fighters will show up. They're not particularly good, just boost to them as quickly as you can and wipe them out.
- One more SAM group will appear on the ground in front of the helicopters, but after that, they'll have finally reached their objective in the city.
- Now Ghost Recon hits the ground, but they still need plenty of support. Enemy vehicles start to show up, and you need to watch your map and the general area around the Ghosts for yellow target reticles to destroy. Here, you can finally try out your rockets, which fire straight, but you can shoot off a ton without having to reload.
- Enemy helicopters will start flooding in to force you to prioritize what you're going to destroy next. In general, it is more important to destroy the enemies inside the city near Ghost Recon, you may not actually have to destroy every helicopter.
- One group of fighters will come in at this point, but they're similarly simple to deal with.
- After you have successfully protected the Ghosts, you enter phase 2 of the mission, extraction. Unfortunately, there are some complications. Your main extraction point (where you're heading to begin with) has been compromised, and you'll receive a new one. Also, your missiles no longer work because of some computer malfunction.
- This means you have to use your cannons to deal with the remaining enemies. Instead of aiming for the enemy plane itself, aim for the circle that is constantly in front of the enemy plane when firing with the cannon. The circle should turn red if you're aiming correctly, and their plane will clearly glow with flames after you shoot it.
- There are two more squadrons of fighters to deal with, now, with only your cannons. You don't actually have to destroy them both, just intercept both to distract them from shooting at the helicopters. If you can just keep them busy long enough, you will acheive mission success, though destroying them is obviously helpful so long as you don't take too much time.
-
Misison 8: Ulysses
- GameAnyone: Operation: Ulysses (1/2) (Time: 10:35)
- GameAnyone: Operation: Ulysses (2/2) (Time: 6:34)
- The recommended plane for this mission is the Mig-33 SuperFulcrum.
- This is a protect mission, and the first to introduce Multi-AA missiles, which allow you to target up to four different air targets at once.
- You are protecting the US fleet here against watercraft, helicopters, and attack planes, all at once. Like other protect missions, you have to know how to prioritize each one and keep them all at bay long enough so that your fleet isn't destroyed.
- The Multi-AA missiles don't work on ground targets, only use them on attack planes and helicopters for this mission.
- The naval commander tells you to not attack the enemy ships, but you still need to take out the frigates when they enter the fleet's protection bubble. Keep them a low priority, though.
- Once the fleet has been successfully protected for the first phase, you have to destroy the enemy fleet's flagship in eight minutes, which is plenty of time. Just keep launching missiles at it, make several runs, using flares to get away from missiles if you have to.
- Three enemy aces will attempt to throw you off of it. Take them out before you head for the flagship, unless you feel that time's running out.
- Once you destroy the flagship, you have completed Mission 8.
-
Mission 9: Stilleto
- GameAnyone: Operation: Stiletto (1/2) (Time: 8:32)
- GameAnyone: Operation: Stiletto (2/2) (Time: 9:05)
- The recommended plane for this mission is the F-14A Tomcat.
- You're in the Caribbean, tasked to destroy the radar hub that's hurting communications lines inside the U.S.
- There are several no-fly zones marked clearly with huge red circles in your viewpoint. Avoid them as you navigate the level.
- To begin with, you must find three radar beacons, which you are pointed to through the signal indicator at the top of the screen. Move left and right until the signal indicator turns green, then start heading in that direction. The indicator noise will get faster and faster as you approach the beacon, or later, the hub.
- The three beacons are on the three islands you see here around the start of the level. Follow your signal, but you'll find them as soon as you reach the islands.
- After destroying the beacons, you must find the radar hub, an island densely packed with radar facilities and AA artillery.
- To get there, follow the signal indicator, while avoiding the red no-fly zones. Destroy any SAM sites (surrounded by yellow circles indicating their range) with your radar-guided missiles. Hold the left trigger button to stay out of their range until your missile hits them, to be safe.
- Destroy all radar targets at the hub when you reach it to finish phase 1 of the mission.
- For phase 2, you must escort bombers, destroying the SAM sites and fighter planes that attempt to destroy them. As usual, you must at least enter the enemy fighters' range ring to distract them from the bomber, even if you don't destroy them all. The mission ends when the bombers reach their target.
-
Mission 10: Red Eagle
- GameAnyone: Operation: Red Eagle (1/2) (Time: 9:38)
- GameAnyone: Operation: Red Eagle (2/2) (Time: 5:14)
- The recommended plane for this mission is the F-16A Fighting Falcon.
- To begin with, you are to "ensure air superiority". This means you should just dogfight against the endless enemy fighter squadrons, destroying all that you can while staying alive. You know how to battle in the air by now, just keep going for several minutes.
- Save your radar-guided missiles. You'll want them in the next portion of the mission, as there aren't that many.
- Eventually, the game decides that you have done well enough and the mission moves into phase 2, protecting the objective against cargo planes that airdrop tanks to the ground.
- Use your radar-guided missiles against the cargo planes. The radar-guided missiles have a long range, they never miss so long as you keep the target in your circle reticle, and unlike joint strike missiles, they destroy the cargo planes in one hit.
- If you destroy the cargo planes quickly enough, at least in the second wave of them, then they won't get to airdrop a pair of tanks. If the tanks do come out, just get up close and use a joint strike missile on each. You can also use radar-guided missiles, but this is typically a waste.
- Don't let the tanks get into the green protection circle. This shouldn't be too difficult, so you can focus on the cargo planes first while just watching your tactical map to see if any tanks are getting too close.
- After you destroy all cargo planes and tanks in the first or second wave, you can target some remaining enemy fighter planes for more experience while you wait for time to pass.
- If you protect the objective until the time limit runs out, then your mission is complete.
-
Mission 11: Torchlight
- GameAnyone: Operation: Torchlight (1/2) (Time: 8:48)
- GameAnyone: Operation: Torchlight (2/2) (Time: 5:13)
- The recommended plane for this mission is the F-15C Eagle. The normal weapons layout for this plane has joint strike and radar-guided missiles, but you may want to choose a plane or layout with multi-aa missiles for this mission if you play it again.
- This is just one long intercept mission as you protect Air Force One from enemy fighters. Enter the ring around them to distract them away from Air Force One, even if you don't shoot them down immediately.
- The most important thing is to stay somewhat near Air Force One at all times. If you go too far out of the way to take down one squadron, you may not make it back in time when another enemy squadron comes from the other side of the map.
- It's okay for enemy fighters to be around Air Force One as long as you are, because they won't shoot it down if they have you to deal with at the same time.
- In the last wave of enemies, your ERS system will break down. This means that you take longer to lock on, lock-ons only last for a second, and your ERS approach system will not work. This renders radar-guided missiles effectively dead. You have to use only joint strike missiles and cannon fire to take down enemies.
- If you successfully escort Air Force One to the bottom of the map, then the mission is over.
-
Mission 12: Iron Arrow
- GameAnyone: Operation: Iron Arrow (1/2) (Time: 10:15)
- GameAnyone: Operation: Iron Arrow (2/2) (Time: 10:14)
- The recommended plane for this mission is the F-18E SuperHornet.
- Escort your AWACS plane while it scans for enemy jammers on the ground. There are six of them with two AA artillery batteries each. Destroying the jammers and AA is simple, but you must prevent enemy fighers from destroying the AWACS as well.
- You are mostly limited to the circle around the AWACS plane on your tactical map. Outside that range, your ERS system is down, much like at the end of the last mission.
- You can use all-aspect missiles here, which can lock on to planes from a large range of angles, allowing you to hit them even if you're not looking at them, but only at a shorter range. This is useful, as you're reduced to a small range by the AWACS ring anyway.
- After destroying the jammers, you'll come to downtown Chicago and the mission becomes close air support. Destroy enemy tanks that are blocking your ground units from getting to their objective in the middle of downtown.
- If the enemy tanks are in a tough spot, blocked by tall buildings, get in line with the road they're on, then go straight up for a bit. Loop over and come straight down at them, firing missiles on two or three before you pull up, avoiding the ground. That should always give you a good enough angle to hit them.
- Protect from a few simple helicopters while your ground units are setting up a bomb, and the mission is over.
-
Mission 13: Typhoon
- GameAnyone: Operation: Typhoon (1/3) (Time: 9:08)
- GameAnyone: Operation: Typhoon (2/3) (Time: 8:56)
- GameAnyone: Operation: Typhoon (3/3) (Time: 6:32)
- The recommended plane for this mission is the F-14B Bombcat.
- For the first five minutes, you are simply to "gain air superiority". In effect, this means you must just keep dogfighting until the game says to do otherwise. The enemy planes never seem to stop coming, just keep fighting and surviving. Prioritize dodging missiles over shooting them at enemies.
- Use your all-aspect missiles, they can lock on and have a chance of destroying planes from any angle. This is useful in dense dogfights like this one.
- For the next five minutes, you are to protect the fleet from enemy bombers. Like other protect missions, zip around and destroy the enemies before they enter the fleet's radius or as soon as you can after they enter it.
- The fleet will eventually move out. Protect it from enemy planes, then ships. Keep your tactical map open so you know when enemy planes are coming over the hills.
- You will be tasked then to destroy the enemy fleet. Their aircraft carrier is the only one putting up any resistance, so take it out first. Shoot two joint strike missiles at it then immediately switch to freefall bombs, dropping two on the carrier. This should destroy it in only a couple of runs, which stops the missiles from coming for you.
- The rest of the fleet just sits and takes your missiles, unable to retaliate. Destroy them all to complete the mission.
-
Mission 14: Backhand
- GameAnyone: Operation: Backhand (1/2) (Time: 8:39)
- GameAnyone: Operation: Backhand (2/2) (Time: 6:49)
- The recommended plane for this mission is the F-117 Nighthawk.
- The first half of this mission has you basically just following ERS paths to bomb three radar spots.
- You'll get constant missile warnings while you go through the rings to your destination, but you should ignore them. If you're making it through the rings and going fairly fast, they won't hit you until you're out of the ERS path.
- While you're in the ERS paths, hold the right trigger button to go faster until you have to make a direction change that requires that you go a bit slower.
- Locking onto the radar points isn't a problem at all, it happens automatically if you're following your ERS. Just hit fire and you'll be fine.
- Between each ERS run, you have to wait a bit for the next path to "download" to your flight system. Begin by dodging any missiles that are still following you, then casually dogfight any enemy fighters around this area outside the no-fly zone.
- After destroying all three radar spots, you have a quick close air support mission. Use freefall bombs on the enemy ground units as your ground troops approach them, so they can make it to their objective. Once that's done, the mission is over.
-
Mission 15: Thunderbolt
- GameAnyone: Operation: Thunderbolt (1/2) (Time: 9:03)
- GameAnyone: Operation: Thunderbolt (2/2) (Time: 9:03)
- The recommended plane for this mission is the Eurofighter Typhoon.
- You must destroy three generators that prevent your ground troops from entering the objective. Each generator has five field generators propping it up, but you have to stay below a certain altitude while you are in their range.
- For the first generator, you just have to get used to flying low and blowing up the field generators. You can move into the red danger zone for a few seconds before you are automatically destroyed. Don't try to go into the zone to get over hills, you usually won't have enough time to get all the way back in.
- Launch a single missile at each field generator. The only issue should be the areas where the ground is higher than you can actually go, so just go around those hills.
- After you destroy the first field generator, two fighter groups will start scanning the map to find you. A red line on your tactical map shows their flightpath, and a yellow circle shows their awareness range. It's not too hard to avoid them, especially if you now move from the bottom to the upper-left corner for the second generator.
- The second generator ramps up the difficulty a bit with AA artillery and SAM batteries firing at you. You'll usually want to take out any artillery around a field generator before you destroy it, but the game is reluctant to switch onto a SAM battery for its target. Just be aware of where they are and point directly at them when you target them to get locked on or shoot them with your cannon.
- After destroying the second generator, another flight group will start to search for you, a seven minute time limit will appear, and the next generator will have slightly more AA artillery and SAM batteries.
- Don't worry too much about your time limit, you should be boosting to the next generator anyway, and unless you get caught in a dogfight with one of the search teams, you'll have enough time to take down the third generator.
- After destroying the third generator, the mission is over. If you fail to destroy a generator, you can always retry at the last checkpoint, after you destroyed the last one. Give yourself plenty of time to complete this mission, it may take several tries to get used to.
-
Mission 16: Wildhorse
- GameAnyone: Operation: Wildhorse (1/2) (Time: 8:24)
- GameAnyone: Operation: Wildhorse (2/2) (Time: 5:04)
- The recommended plane for this mission is the Rafale C.
- To begin with, you must protect the space shuttle from attack planes and cargo planes that will airdrop tanks and hovercrafts. The space shuttle is fairly weak, so really attempt to not let anything inside its green circle.
- Your radar-guided missiles allow you to attack from a much longer range, allowing you to not commit yourself too far in one direction. They also destroy cargo planes in one hit where it may take four or five joint strike missiles.
- Protect the space shuttle long enough, and eventually a launch count will begin. Unfortunately, more enemies appear, and you have to abort.
- You are now on a short time limit as your targeting systems are being interrupted. You have to dogfight with several enemy fighters so you can see the enemy AWACS plane and take it out. Radar-guided missiles are temporarily useless, so just use joint strike ones.
- Your space shuttle is now able to finally launch, but there are two cruise missiles that will destroy your spacecraft if they hit.
- Finish the mission by destroying the cruise missiles with your radar-guided missiles.
-
Mission 17: Javelin
- GameAnyone: Operation: Javelin (1/2) (Time: 10:17)
- GameAnyone: Operation: Javelin (2/2) (Time: 8:02)
- The recommended plane for this mission is the A-10 Thunderbolt II.
- This is a large-scale close air support mission, but you also have to escort a bomber to the target at the same time. Your plane has very good weapons to deal with all threats, but there are tons of concerns you have to juggle.
- You can technically let the first bomber die while you assist only the ground units. Another one will come along later, and you should still have time. Unless you're really in a fix on the ground, this isn't recommended.
- Your new Multi-Ground missiles can take out up to four ground targets at once, just as Multi-AA missiles worked. You have a limited number, but these missiles can wipe out each set of enemy ground units with only two shots.
- Once you reach the enemy base, the ground units will fight their way into the center, taking out all the tanks. You should help them, especially if you're running out of time, but there are tons of SAM sites to discourage you. Blow them up first so you have the ability to help destroy tanks, which is very easy in this aircraft.
- Once the ground units make their way into the center of the enemy base, you have completed the mission. This will require that you destroy most of the tanks.

Mission 18: Twilight
- GameAnyone: Operation: Twilight (1/2) (Time: 10:21)
- GameAnyone: Operation: Twilight (2/2) (Time: 2:15)
- The recommended plane for this mission is the F-22 Raptor.
- You are escorting an AWACS plane against lots and lots of enemy fighters as you scan for a nuke in L.A.
- As in every other escort mission, it is more important to interrupt the enemy fighters than to destroy them one by one. The most dangerous thing is for them to make it to the AWACS plane without you having entered the ring around them yet.
- Stay somewhat close to your plane so you can successfully respond to any squadrons that get in its range.
- Your Multi-AA missiles are very important. You need to take out a couple of entire squadrons with it to successfully make it through, as there are a lot to deal with.
- After AWACS finds the nuke, just fire a missile at it. You can use ERS if you want to get on a good glidepath to hit it. This ends the mission.

Epilogue: Monarch
- GameAnyone: Operation: Monarch (Time: 6:45)
- You must stay below the blue altitude level until you reach the end of this river canyon. Until then, try to mostly just use your rudder (yaw) to turn the aircraft, as using the ailerons and twisting over will be disorienting and could cause you to crash. Don't try to boost through, take your time.
- Watch the cutscenes in the upper right corner to get the epilogue story as you wind your way through the canyon.
- Eventually, you'll reach a checkpoint, and some ground units will start to appear. The turns will also get somewhat more difficult.
- You can mostly just ignore the ground units, you should have enough life to breeze by them.
- Once you come to the end of the canyon, the blue area will disappear and you will be allowed to go up above the canyon.
- Just off to the right is your target. Shoot two or three missiles at it to complete this mission and the game.
