  • Story

HAWX takes place in the future, when nations have begun contracting private military companies (PMCs) to fight for them. However, reckless behavior and low regard for the law prompted several of the world's great superpowers to sign "The Reykjavik Accords," a set of regulations that nations and PMCs must abide by when contracts are initiated between the two. The story for HAWX is tied to the Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon: Advanced Warfighter universe, and the first mission in HAWX is a replication of one of the original Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter missions, but played from the pilot's perspective.
  • Gameplay

As part of the H.A.W.X. ("High Altitude Warfare – Experimental Squadron"), the player has access to the latest, cutting-edge air combat technology. The Enhanced Reality System (E.R.S.) annotates the player's view of the world to show the optimal course of action for different tasks, whether it be completing a mission, dodging a missile or intercepting an enemy aircraft.
