In a sworn affidavit, Todd Palin testified in the Troopergate scandal, affirming that he never pressured former public safety commissioner Walt Monegan to fire state trooper Mike Wooten. In the 20-question sworn statement, Palin admits that he attempted to have Wooten fired, but never suggested that Monegan should do so. He also testified that Sarah Palin told him to drop it after his involvement was becoming constant.
Troopergate

Alaska governor and vice presidential nominee Sarah Palin is under investigation for ethic violations, having allegedly used her power to have former Anchorage Public Safety Commissioner Walt Monegan fired after he refused to layoff a state trooper whom the Palin family had a grudge against. The state trooper, Mike Wooten, allegedly threatened the Palin family and violated law enforcement regulations.
