Todd McFarlane is a popular comic book artist, writer, toy manufacturer and designer. He is the creator of comic book character Spawn.
In the late 80s and early 90s, McFarlane became one of the most critically-acclaimed and beloved artists for his work on Marvel Comics' Spider-Man franchise. In 1992, he helped form Image Comics, published a series based on his own creation Spawn and encouraged a trend toward creator-owned comic book properties.
McFarlane has spent the past several years focusing on his entrepreneurial efforts, including McFarlane Toys and the film and animation studio Todd McFarlane Entertainment.
