Todd Beamer

Todd Beamer was one of the passengers on Flight 93, which was hijacked by Al Qaeda as part of the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks on the United States. After the hijacking, Beamer talked on the phone with people on the ground and discovered about the attacks on the World Trade Center. He and other passengers confronted the terrorists, which was later confirmed by the "black box". The plane crashed in Pennsylvania before reaching Washington DC, the apparent target. Beamer was posthumously granted the Arthur Ashe Courage Award.United Heroes: Todd Beamer
