British stage and film actor Toby Jones was born September 7, 1967 in Oxford, England. He is the son of Jennifer and Freddie Jones. He comes from a long line of performers including his father and brother and was basically predestined to become an actor. His acting career began on stage and he acted in many roles at the Oxfordshire, Abingdon School in England.
In 1992, Toby Jones appeared in his first film titled Orlando. Since that film he has appeared in many others. In 2002 he voiced the role of Dobby the house elf in Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets. He is hopeful he will once again reprise to voice of Dobby in the final Harry Potter film, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. Recently he appeared in Frank Darabont's The Mist, based on the Stephen King novel. He played the role of Ollie, the grocery store assistant manager. His resume is ever growing.
Currently Toby Jones is working on a few different projects. He can be seen in the 2008 film Frost/Nixon about the post-Watergate interviews. The fantasy film City of Ember is also set to be released in October 2008. In the future he will appear in the film Pinkville alongside Bruce Willis.
Toby Jones is married to his wife Karen and he has two children, both daughters. His daughter's names are Madeleine and Holly.
