To Catch A Thief

Famed director Alfred Hitchcock's To Catch A Thief chronicles a retired cat burglar's attempts to clear his name when a series of robberies on the French Riviera point to him. The suspense is less intense here than in most of Hitchcock's films, leaving room for Cary Grant's wry sense of humor and dashing courtship of Grace Kelly's socialite character to take center stage.

Grace Kelly met Prince Rainier III of Monaco while shooting To Catch a Thief, and within a year or so they were married and Kelly had given up acting to concentrate on her duties as "Her Serene Highness."
