Turner Network Television is a cable television network operated by the Turner Broadcasting System.
Programming
TNT features a variety of shows including live sporting events, original and syndicated drama shows as well as films. They feature the seasonal broadcasts of NBA games, NASCAR races and golf tournaments. Weekday programming includes the syndicated popular dramas ER, Charmed, Las Vegas, Without a Trace and Law & Order. TNT also features their own original dramas The Closer, HawthoRNe and Saving Grace. Weekend programming generally consists of movies and sporting events.
History
The network was founded by media mogul and CNN founder Ted Turner. They debuted on October 3, 1988, showing the classic film Gone with the Wind.
