  • Titus Andronicus is a tragedy by William Shakespeare depicting the a cycle of revenge engaged in between a Roman general, Titus, and his enemy Tamora, the Queen of the Goths. Because of its gore, the play fell out of popularity during the Victorian era and has recently begun to revive itself due, in part, to a successful staging and film by director Julie Taymor.
