Recent News
On April 7th, 2010, Tina Fey had stated that she would return to reprise her parody of Sarah Palin on the April 10th edition of Saturday Night Live.http://www.cbsnews.com/8301-503544_162-20001776-503544.html
On April 6th, Fey confirmed on NBC's Today show that she would be spoofing the now-prominent Republican politician and senator on SNL, though she stated that "I haven’t been watching her on television lately because I’ve been working on 30 Rock.. I’m sure we’ll be trying to write something about her."
Palin has been all over the news in recent weeks as she has made fiery comments regarding President Obama's health care bill. Palin has also made regular speeches across the nation and the globe, as her fame has expanded far beyond the failed 2008 John McCain presidential campaign.
There is certainly more than enough material for Fey and the SNL crew to work with to lampoon the GOP senator and Alaskan governor, and it would be an opportune time to do so, what with the increasingly hostile and polarizing climate of American politics in the wake of the wholly Democrat-led passage of the historic health care bill.
As Fey alluded to, she has been quite busy and preoccupied since her initial portrayal of Palin with her comedy show 30 Rock, co-starring Tracy Morgan. The show, which has garnered Emmy Awards, Golden Globes, and Screen Actors Guild Awards, has nonetheless never managed to attract high ratings or viewers. Fey is also slated to appear in a comedy move with Steve Carrell, of The Office and 40-Year-Old-Virgin fame. Fey's Palin impersonations, however, have been far more popular with the everyday American.http://www.telegraph.co.uk/culture/7555976/Tina-Fey-interview-Sarah-Palin-in-her-sights.html
