Timothy Wright was a Grammy Award-nominated gospel musician and pastor of the Grace Tabernacle Christian Center in Brooklyn, New York.
In July 2008, Wright was critically injured in a deadly car crash that claimed the life of his wife, Betty Wright, and his grandson, D.J. Wright. Wright died at the age of 61, after spending nearly a year undergoing rehabilitation, on April 23, 2009.
Car Accident
On July 5, 2008, Timothy Wright suffered serious injuries in a car accident in central Pennsylvania. Wright's wife and co-pastor, 58-year-old Betty Wright, was killed in the wreck. The couple's 14-year-old grandson, D.J. Wright, also died.
