• Timothy Krajcir is a Missouri man who admitted in December, 2007, to murdering nine women between 1977 and 1982. Police used DNA evidence to link Krajcir, who had been incarcerated since 1988 on sexual assault charges, to the murder of Deborah Sheppard in 1982. Krajcir later confessed to all nine of the murders police believed he had committed.

• Crimes

  Krajcir attended Southern Illinois University Carbondale (SIUC) after being released from prison in 1977 and earned a degree in Administrative Justice. • Convictions

  On December 10, 2007, Krajcir was sentenced to 40 years in prison for the murder of SIUC student Deborah Sheppard, and in January, 2008, was sentenced to another 40 years for the murder of Virginia Lee Witte. In April, 2008, Krajcir was sentenced to eleven more consecutive life sentences for the murder of five women in Cape Girardeau, Missouri and for additional sexual assaults.
