• Career

  Timothy Hutton began acting at the age of five, when he appeared uncredited in his father's film Never Too Late as a boy running towards his father. His movie career officially began in 1980 with the film Ordinary People, which won four Academy Awards. Hutton won one Oscar for Best Supporting Actor, as well as a Golden Globe for New Star of the Year.Golden Globes: Timothy Hutton Awards After subsequently appearing in many feature films, Hutton moved to television in 2001, when he starred in A&E Network's A Nero Wolfe Mystery. His most recent films include The Last Mimzy and The Alphabet Killer. Hutton's other television projects include TNT's Leverage.
