  • Career Highlights

    Prior to playing in the NHL, Thomas attended and played for the University of Vermont. He was drafted 217th overall in the 1994 NHL draft by the Quebec Nordiques. He chose to stay in college for three additional years after the draft. After graduation in 1997, Thomas played for several minor league teams in the American Hockey League, International Hockey League and in both Sweden and Finland. On June 4, 1998, Thomas signed as a free agent with the Edmonton Oilers, but continued to play strictly in the minors. It was not until August 8, 2002, when he signed with the Boston Bruins, that Thomas made his NHL debut. Thomas has since continued to play for the Bruins, signing a three year contract extension in 2006.
