  • Running for Tennessee Governor?

    It was rumored in mid December 2008 that Tim McGraw is planning to run for governor of Tennessee in 2010. TMZ.com reported on December 16, 2008, that the rumors are not true. McGraw's rep stated, "There is no truth to this. It's something he is interested in, but not for 2010. Later in life." McGraw previously stated, "I would want to do it just to say I did it.     Curb Records signed Tim McGraw and released his debut album in 1992. The self-titled debut album, Tim McGraw, was not a chart breaking album. The following year, McGraw released Not a moment to Soon which contained the hit single, "Indian Outlaw." The single peaked at number eight on the Country Charts.

    McGraw has released a total of twelve albums since 1992, of which ten have gone multi-platinum. Nine of these albums peaked at number one on the Billboard country charts. He has won over forty-eight awards, three of which were Grammy Awards.

    Tim McGraw married country music artist Faith Hill on October 6, 1996, and together they have three daughters: Gracie Katherine, Maggie Elizabeth and Audrey Caroline. McGraw's father passed away in 2004 after being diagnosed with brain cancer.

    McGraw has had several movie and television roles through out the years, but received his first lead role in 2006 with the movie Flicka.
