Tim Hudson is a Major League Baseball starting pitcher who currently plays for the Atlanta Braves. Hudson played for many years with the Oakland A's before he was traded to the Atlanta Braves back in 2005. As a rookie with the A's, Hudson had an 11-2 record and finished fifth in the American League for Rookie of the Year honors. Hudson along with pitchers Mark Mulder and Barry Zito, made up one of the best pitching staffs in the American League at the time. While with the A's, Hudson made two All-Star teams (2000,2004).
While in the prime of his career, in 2005, Hudson was traded to the Atlanta Braves and although Hudson has been a main stay with the Braves pitching staff, he has had his share of injuries as well which came to a head in the 2008 season when he had to have Tommy John Surgery to repair his pitching elbow which ended his season.

On November 12, 2009, Hudson signed a three-year extension with the Braves for 28 million dollars. Hudson’s best year with the Braves was in 2007 when he had a 16-10 record and a 3.33 ERA.
