Tim Gunn is a television personality, fashion consultant and style maven. Formerly the chair of fashion design at Parsons The New School for Design. Gunn is the chief creative officer for Liz Claiborne as well as an author.
Gunn rose to fame as the on-air mentor to the competing designers on Bravo reality show Project Runway. Project Runway is now showing the 6th season on Lifetime Wednesday nights. Gunn's popularity garnered him a spin-off show, Tim Gunn's Guide to Style, and book, A Guide to Quality, Taste and Style.
Gunn's received his own art and design education at the Corcoran College of Art & Design in Washington DC, where he studied sculpture. He joined Parsons' faculty as an Associate Dean in 1989 and served as the Dean of fashion design from 2000 to 2007.
