Duncan was born on April 25, 1976 in Virgin Islands. He and his wife, Amy, tied the knot in 2001 and they have two children. Amiable as he is Duncan confesses that he is afraid of the heights and sharks. Duncan was also an accomplished swimmer; as he was once the number 1 on his age group in the 400-meter freestyle event. Tim Duncan whipped out another impressive performance in the 2009-2010 season despite time is slowly catching up on him. He averaged 21.1 points, 11.6 rebounds, 3.2 assists, 0.8 steal steal and 1.7 blocks in the regular season and 19 points, 9.9 rebounds, 6 assists, 0.8 steal and 2.4 blocks in the regular season.
During the 2010 NBA Playoffs Duncan helped his team progressed through the second of the NBA Playoffs. They essayed a masterful 4-3 triumph over their favored neighboring opponent Dallas Mavericks to arrange a Western Semifinal showdown with Phoenix Suns. The Spurs however was denied of advancing to the next round as the Suns eliminated them from the playoffs with a 4-0 sweep on their series.
