  • NHL Career

    Connolly was drafted fifth overall in the 1999 NHL Draft by the New York Islanders. He made his NHL debut that same year, playing 81 of 82 regular season games. Connolly was traded to the Buffalo Sabres on June 24, 2001. He missed the entire 2003-04 regular season after a pre-season injury caused post-concussion syndrome. Connolly played 16 games with the SCL Tigers Langnau in Switzerland during the 2004-05 NHL Lockout. He returned to the Sabres after the lockout and was sidelined on March 21, 2008, after undergoing surgery on his hip.
