Tim Bray

Tim Bray is a software developer and internet entrepreneur, who co-founded Open Text Corporation and Antarctica Systems. He is now serving as web director for Sun Microsystems.

Tim Bray was born in Canada but raised in Beirut, Lebanon. He graduated from the University of Guelph in Ontario and joined Digital Equipment Corporation. He then managed the Oxford English Dictionary project before co-founding the Open Text Corporation. The focus of Open Text Corporation was on web search engines. The next company he founded, Antarctica Systems, had more to do with business analytics.
