Tim Armstrong

Tim Armstrong is a singer, songwriter and Rock musician and one of the most influential figures in the Punk Rock community over the past 20 years. Armstrong got his start in the seminal Bay Area Ska/Punk band Operation Ivy. After the group disbanded, Armstrong and Operation Ivy Bass player Matt Freeman went on to form the band Rancid - a group that became one of the leading bands of the Punk Rock resurgence of the late 1990s. While Armstrong continues to write and record with Rancid, he also took time out to release his first solo record, the 2007 album A Poet's Life.
