Tiesto is a trance DJ from the Netherlands who has become one of the premier DJ's in the world. In 2008 he received a Grammy nomination for his record Elements of Life.

Tiesto was voted "Best DJ in the World" by DJ Magazine for three consecutive years. He has won numerous international DJ awards for his work in many countries including the U.S., Germany, and Canada.
An Olympic Feat
Tiesto was the first DJ to ever perform at the opening ceremony for the Olympic Games when he played a 90 minute set during the Athens Olympic Games in 2004.
