History
In 1986 Texas Instruments received an order for 10,000 calculators for the state of Connecticut. Based on this large order, they began to speculate calculators becoming more commonly used in classrooms. TI representatives began working with educators to develop the tools needed for students in the classrooms. In 1990 they released the 1st graphing calculator the TI-81.
