Thottbot

Thottbot.com is an online database for the MMORPG game, World of Warcraft (WoW), which has been online since March 31, 2001. The site is ranked 1,997th most popular in the world by Alexa and has 571,725 visitors per day. The site offers detailed information on classes, items, quests, professions and a score of other WoW-related minutiae.

Information is supplied to the website using an external program called Cosmos Patcher, which collects data directly from within the game. Users who don't want to use the Cosmos Patcher can provide information to the Thottbot database by using a World of Warcraft addon, which saves game information to a .lua file. This can then be uploaded manually to Thottbot.com.
