Senior Petty Cheif Officer, Thomas Valentine, was killed during a parachute training exercise in Mesa, Arizona on February 13, 2007. The accident is currently under investigation by the Navy. Valentine was buried at the Arlington Cemetery on February 28, 2008. He served in the military for nearly 20 years, and cycled through multiple tours in Afghanistan and Iraq. Valentine was 37-years-old.
