Thomas S. Monson is the current President of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He was put into office on February 3, 2008, following the death of previous President Gordon B. Hinckley. Monson's former position was President of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles.

- 1948: Graduates with a business management degree from the University of Utah; begins a publishing career with the Deseret News
