  • Thomas Newman is a film score composer who has contributed scores to various popular films such as The Shawshank Redemption, Road to Perdition, Finding Nemo and Wall-E. In addition, he has composed for television series and has won numerous awards for his work.

    Newman was nominated twice for the 2009 Oscars for Best Original Score and Best Original Song along with Peter Gabriel. The nominations were for the animated Disney film Wall-E. The composer has previously been nominated eight times for an Academy Award but has not yet won in his category.
