Thomas Haden Church is a television and film actor who starred in Sideways and Spider-Man 3.
Life and Career
Thomas Haden Church was born in El Paso, Texas. His mother was a homemaker, and his father was a health care worker. He attended the University of North Texas for college.
Church got his first big break into the acting business when he landed the role of Lowell Mather on NBC's TV show Wings. He then appeared in a few films in supporting roles but didn't gain widespread recognition until he starred in 2004's Sideways, for which he gain critical acclaim.
More recently he starred in the successful TV miniseries Broken Trail opposite Robert Duvall. He also starred as a the villain Sandman in Spider-Man 3, which was directed by Sam Raimi.
