Third Day is a Christian rock band from Georgia that was formed in the 1990s. The band's singer Mac Powell and the guitarist Mark Lee first played in a garage band called Nuclear Hoedown but decided they wanted to form a band that would express their faith in God. Tai Andersom and David Carr were added to the band and they became Third Day. The band released their self titled debut album in 1997 and sold over 300,000 copies. The album received positive reviews.
