  • Authorities say Theodore Bayly of Noble County, Ohio, killed his wife and his 11-year-old son before taking his own life. Bayly, an unemployed carpenter, was reportedly having financial problems. According to reports, the 39-year-old Bayly called the sheriff's department around 2 a.m. on February 18, 2009, saying he had just killed his family and was about to kill himself. When police arrived on the scene, they found the bodies of Bayly's wife, Janice Bayly, and his son, Colton Bayly.     According to reports, Ted Bayly was an unemployed roofer who was disabled, but not receiving disability benefits. Bayly's wife, 40-year-old Janice Bayly, worked as a program services assistant at a senior center. Janice Bayly's hours at the center had recently been cut back. Authorities say when Ted Bayly called the sheriff's department around 2 a.m. on the morning of the murders, he told a dispatcher he was having money troubles and "couldn't afford it anymore."
